The Wellbeing, Health and Safety (WHS) – Safety Professional position located at the Windsor Assembly Plant is responsible to implement and administer standardized WHS processes to ensure compliance to Federal, Provincial and Local regulations and Corporate Policies and Procedures.
This position will help achieve world class status and impact corporate savings through the elimination of occupational injuries/illnesses, property damage and improvement of production efficiency as well as safeguarding the health and safety of all employees.
This specific position will focus on health and safety compliance, Stellantis Production Way (SPW) safety activities, Safety Management System (OHSAS 45001), and health and safety improvement goals.
The WHS – Safety Professional position will report to the Plant WHS Lead and be responsible for and not limited to:
Implement WHS training programs and training assessments to ensure required training is identified and conducted Conduct regular audits of WHS processes and necessary follow-up to ensure compliance and advise plant leadership and corporate WHS staff of findings Analyze injury/illness experience including ergonomics, identify/track injury correlation, determine root causes, implement corrective action and communicate this information to plant leadership and corporate WHS Support new equipment programs at the concept stage to ensure that WHS design specifications and regulations are included Manage routine safety reports including data acquisition, documentation, record keeping, monitoring, review, and approval Coordinate communication of WHS regulatory inspection activity with plant leadership Lead WHS projects to improve WHS key performance metrics Support the implementation and maintenance of the plant’s safety management system to meet OHSAS 45001 and SPW safety requirements Support the local labour relations team with on shift responsibilities as requiredFCA Canada Inc. is committed to providing accommodation for people with accessibility needs due to disabilities in all aspects of the hiring process. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in safety, Human Resources, or Science is preferred Minimum ONE (1) year relevant experience Strong understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) Willingness to work on any shift and additional hours as required Effective written and verbal communication skills Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills Experience working in an automotive or manufacturing environment Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite Legally eligible to work in CanadaPreferred Qualifications:
