Job Summary The Wellness and Allergy Manager is responsible for all nutrition and wellness information and activity in the assigned accounts. In addition, he /she is responsible for comprehensive management of the FLIK Allergen Management Initiative. He/ she develops, supports, coordinates, measures and analyzes allergen management initiatives and manages and evaluates the provision of allergen management education, training and guidance for assigned account and FLIK associates. The Wellness and Allergy Manager works collaboratively with the sector management to implement wellness related programs and initiatives, and to ensure compliance with FDA nutrition and allergy labeling laws. Responsibilities: + Coordinates and implements FLIK and Client nutrition and wellness programs and initiatives in assigned B&I dining locations + Assess client, customer and operator needs and current status with regard to allergen management and provision of information for food allergic guests; Customizes and coordinates Compass Group allergen management programs and initiatives to meet specific short term client needs. + Collaborates with Allergen Project Management team, Compass QA team, sector RDs and operations teams’ to establish timelines and manage communications with clients and operators around allergen management short term and long term initiatives and what can be expected. + Customizes & presents materials for health fairs, lunch and learns, program launches, client meetings, café wellness events, tastings, etc. + Supports and utilizes marketing and technology innovations to help drive wellness including Webtrition, loyalty programs, dining websites, limited time offers and rewards initiatives + Provides nutrition analysis utilizing Menu Works, our web-based application for menu planning, production tools, nutritional analysis, and costing + Wellness/Allergy Manager will also have a hands-on approach to hospitality, foodservice and the retail side of the business + Supports and assists unit managers as needed which might include customer service, preparing or serving food, assistance with catering and holding associates accountable to standards + Leads in-field implementation and on-going wellness training for assigned B&I dining locations + Acts as a nutrition education resource, excluding medical nutrition therapy, for client, customer and Compass associate nutrition & sustainability questions and concerns + Conducts regular audits and site visits of assigned accounts to assess account performance against wellness standards. Develops corrective action plans, monitors and enforces corrective action on allergen labeling, wellness & sustainability standards, nutrition policies, labeling laws and food allergy and celiac disease training Qualifications: + Registered Dietitian- Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (AND) Certification and State Licensure, where applicable + Bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition or related field of study, Master of Science in Nutrition or a related field optional + 3+ years professional experience required + Experience in allergen labeling (packaged foods or restaurant) strongly preferred + Project management experience strongly preferred + Serve-Safe certification required, but we can train once hired + Strong presentation and time management skills; advanced computer skills, leadership skills, advanced problem solving skills and outstanding interpersonal skills + Culinary and/ or foodservice experience required Apply to Flik today!
