Major Responsibilities

General

1. Provide safe, supportive spaces to explore clients’ goals and intentions

2. Develop nutritional / fitness classes and provide some exercises regime for different guest 'needs either private or group. Be dynamic

3. Perform fitness classes indoor or outdoor which can be chargeable and complimentary. Available for private or group classes.

4. Assess body evaluations; BMI, fat percentage, mass percentage, and administer questionnaires

5. Conduct wellness assessments for diverse populations including; BMI, strength and cardiovascular fitness.

6. Takes ownership on managing the fitness area, to ensure that it is immaculately clean and organize, all machines are functioning, enhance guests experience in the gym and outdoor that can be by the beach, Foumba, Spa cabana or any other area around the resorts that can be potential to utilize for fitness classes. In-depth monitoring any fitness gym movements.

7. Provide a trendy fitness technology to even elevate guests’ fitness journey.

8. Create a fitness program in collaboration with nutrition and spa treatments. 9. Produce PowerPoint presentations to aide in Spa team fitness knowledge. 10. Deliver PowerPoint presentations sharing health and wellness information with diverse audiences.

11. Meet with guest individually or in group settings to discuss and set achievable short- and long-term goals regarding their fitness/health levels

12. Empower guests to take their health into their own hands

13. Assist guests to understand their motivations and create behavior change 14. Support guests in developing sustainable meals, exercise, or other wellness plans tailored to their goals

15. Encourage mindfulness in all aspects of their guests’ lives

16. Work with guests to determine their problem areas, identify obstacles, and create a plan to achieve their health and wellness goals

17. Keep guests motivated and on-track to overcome challenges (especially long stay guest or follow up)

18. Be mindful of health issues or prior injuries when developing plans

19. Work closely with the Spa management for planning, organizing, creating Wellness/Fitness ideas.

20. Assists the Department Head in motivating and developing a skilled team, leads by example and instills a culture of continuous learning and improvement among employees; actively participates in Employee Relations activities and programmes

21. Ensures the department is kept in an organized manner in accordance with company philosophy and policies, maximizing efficiency and productivity and achieving established goals; promotes harmony between all departments

22. Displays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers; lives the Golden Rule

23. Demonstrates standards awareness, by setting example for standards execution, standards testing and implementing action plans to achieve established product and service goals

24. Achieve fitness classes revenue

Departmental - Spa & Health Club

1. Effectively integrate the Fitness and Spa with the Hotel operations wherever possible and in accordance with the direction of Spa trends

2. Assist the Spa Management and the Director of PR in promoting the fitness classes and programs

3. Interact with guests, providing full knowledge and assistance for maximum guest usage in a friendly but unobtrusive manner

4. Introduce new and innovative fitness classes and technology in order to continually enhance and develop the fitness activities

5. Assist in any area of the spa as may be required due to operational needs.

Specific Responsibilities and Tasks General

1. Maintains an organized administration of departmental and personnel records, including rostering and leave planning

2. Ensures employees adhere to the code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standards as specified in the employee handbook

3. Conducts monthly Fitness presentation to the team

4. Assists employees in crunch times and when Fitness gym is not busy or not utilized; Walks the talk

5. Proposes personal goals and objectives based on self-analysis of strengths and weaknesses; achieves agreed goals

6. Exercises effective glitch resolution skills

7. Monitors complimentary beverages and ensure that all is ordered via requisition.

8. Monthly inventory for fitness accessories and loan items

9. Maintains a clean and orderly work area and ensures tools & equipment are well maintained and in sufficient supply and takes appropriate action

10. Oversee daily guest reservations, using yield management to maximize departmental profitability

11. Performs daily walkthroughs of the Fitness gym and potential areas for fitness classes to ensure seamless operation and optimal guest experience

12. Promotes and ensures a safe working environment

13. Performs any additional duties as assigned

Departmental – Fitness Gym

1. Responsible for the fitness gym administration of goods, requisitions, inventories, storage and cost-effective usage of all department related materials and assets, according to standards to ensure smooth operation.

2. Oversee the cleanliness of all areas in the Fitness Gym and coordinate special requirements with Housekeeping, Laundry, and Engineering

3. Must be able to utilize all computer systems relevant to the departments.

4. Make recommendations regarding the annual operating budget, capital investment budget, operating planning and further periodic evaluations of financial performance, including reports on sales and operations with supporting statistical data

5. Be cross-trained in all functions of the spa and assist in times of need

6. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff
