About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Research Manager. This role involves managing a team of professionals working with Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Division, focused on

Relationship management and Portfolio Monitoring and Underwriting activities for companies in the Diversified Industrials sectorManage a team of 7-10 professionals who will be working on the above areasThe aforementioned teams work on preparing pitching materials and financial models, which helps in company valuation and advisory to corporate clientsThere will be significant opportunities to learn, develop and work as an integral member of I&P CIB business


In this role, you will:

Manage and develop a team of analysts in the Industrials Corporate Banking TeamWork with US stakeholders to define the scope of work for India team and build integration with US VP’s, MD’s and Heads of Corporate Banking GroupDrive projects and work along with juniors, on various work streams that form key components of the loan lifecycleWork with US team members to build financials models and historical financial analysis to assist senior bankers in pitches and other advisory materialsUnderstand and respond to the queries raised by the Onshore underwriter and work in a fast paced and iterative mannerDevelop strong stakeholder relationship as the team would be working closely with other teams during the various stages of the projects, ad-hoc special projects as needed by onshore teamMentor analysts and associates on basic and fundamentals of client origination pitches, credit reviews and underwritingContribute to various firm wide projects focused on improving efficiency, automation, regulatory complianceDemonstrate a strong understanding of Wells Fargo's credit risk policies, risk appetite, and underwriting guidelinesHave strong MS excel skill with the ability to synthesize data to derive meaningful inferencesMentor and guide talent development of teams and assist in hiring talentInteract with multiple stakeholders to achieve the desired goal


Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Securities Research industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education2+ years of Leadership experience3+ years of direct team management experience


Desired Qualifications:

Outstanding academic qualifications – MBA / MSc Finance from a premier educational institution4+ experience in Corporate Banking, Credit Research or Debt Advisory, preferably in Diversified Industrials Sector2+ Years of Staffing experienceStrong knowledge of Credit metrics, Covenants, Capital structure, Financial statement and ratio analysisKnowledge of database tools – Factset, Thomson one, Capital IQ, Factiva, Moody's and S&P Ratings methodologyKnowledge of VBA, Tableau, Power BI etc. would be an added advantageImpeccable communication and interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to interact with senior professionals and key stakeholdersStrong logical, analytical skills and a systematic problem solving approachAbility to proficiently use Microsoft Office Applications – Power Point and ExcelStrong time management skills and ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlinesAttention to detail and ability to ensure high quality of deliverablesAbility to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and managementResults driven, accountable and ability to work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
