Western & Cellular Analysis Sales Specialist

Bio-Techne, and all of its brands, provides tools for researchers to further treat and prevent disease worldwide.** The Sales Specialist for the Western & Cellular Analysis sales team will be responsible for sales of Simple Western and Cellular Analysis instruments and related systems and consumables in the assigned territory. As a Sales Specialist you will develop and execute strategic plans for the portfolio to increase sales and grow market share in the territory. This is a field based sales role where you will support customers throughout the Boston/Cambridge territory. **Key Responsibilities:** • Achieve sales targets through application of consultative selling methods • Maintain and develop incremental business in existing and new accounts • Work closely with the full Commercial Team to ensure we provide a coordinated approach to customers and promote all the solutions Bio-Techne can provide. • Field sales located in the assigned territory and visiting customers 75% of the time • Familiar with standard scientific methods, techniques, reagents & equipment relevant to Bio-Techne’s product line • Provide accurate sales forecasts for both instruments and reagents in the Immunoassay Product Lines • Use SalesForce.com to manage all active leads, customers, and opportunities. Dashboards will be used to track progress and KPIs • Plan and execute account management to accomplish goals and follow company vision • Ensure that customers understand the value proposition, features & benefits, competitive advantages, and applications of all relevant products Job Qualifications **Education and Experience:** • Bachelor’s degree (or advanced) in a science related field required • Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of sales experience in the Life Science tools space and with 2+ years selling in related market and space. • High value capital equipment sales experience **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** • Understanding of customer workflows and the applications supported in research, development, and production of pharmaceutical drugs and biologics • Broad understanding of a variety of scientific techniques and research areas of interest (e.g., Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Sequencing, High-Value Capital Equipment) • Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint, and Salesforce • Proficiency in executing value-based sales techniques, including prospecting, building relationships, and presenting tailored solutions. • Strong negotiation and closing skills with a focus on understanding buyer needs and delivering customer-centric solutions. • Ability to map key accounts, identify business potential, and execute territory business plans. • Demonstrated interpersonal, presentation, and time & territory management skills. • Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in areas of negotiation, persuasion, and problem-solving • Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint and Salesforce.com a plus • Ability to work with a high degree of independence; a self-starter • Capable and interested in working in a team environment • Highly motivated, independent, with a strong desire to succeed. **Why Join Bio-Techne:** **We offer competitive wages along with extensive benefits for employees and their families.** **We invest in our employees’ financial futures through retirement programs and an employee stock purchase plan.** **We help our employees develop their careers through mentorship, promotional opportunities, training and development, internship programs, and more.** **We offer an international and diverse working environment, enriched by employee resource groups; volunteer and charity events; and employee events that build a culture of caring and belonging.** **We foster a culture of empowerment and innovation, where employees feel valued and encouraged to bring their new ideas to the table.** **Bio-Techne is an E-Verify Employer in the United States.** **Bio-Techne is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
