Vicor is seeking a candidate to assist in establishing the wet chemistry process lab to support all plating fabrication operations. The candidate will work with the wet chemistry lab team for day to day production analysis as well as special projects.
Job DescriptionDay to day analysis of all wet chemical processes to include.
Titration (automatic and manual) CVS ICP Cross section analysisPerform chemical adds/decants based on analysis to ensure all processes are operating within specified limits
Document all analysis within statistical software and make recommendations based on trend mapping
Work with Vicor safety compliance to ensure all required SDS are onsite relative to analytical chemistries/equipment
Maintain all lab equipment in proper working condition to include maintenance, calibration, etc,
AS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or physical sciences preferred
2-3+ years’ working experience in a lab environment
Previous experience with one or more of the following is ideal: Titration analysis, Chromatography, mass spec, UV/Vis, FTIR, ICP, Graphite furnace, AA, XRF, Thermal mechanical equipment - DSC, DMA, TMA, TGA, CVS and/or Hull cell analysis, Cross section capability, SEM analysis, FIB analysis
Ability to learn and execute: Cross section capability and Solderability
Ability to learn and apply SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, etc.
Solid skills in problem solving, statistics, manufacturing quality, and quality principles
Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems
Ability to work independently and be effective in a fast-paced environment
Excellent writing and organizational skills

Salary Range: $45,480 - 57,300 - 74,490
