Position Summary
The Biobehavioral Mechanisms Explaining Disparities (BMED) lab is seeking to hire an entry level research assistant with a specific interest in immunology and/or cellular biology to be responsible for assisting in receiving, processing, storing, and analyzing immunological biomarkers. In the BMED Wet Lab we specifically focus on analysis of cytokines and markers of cellular energy in leukocytes from peripheral blood. The research assistant will accept instruction from a Laboratory Manager, and the lab’s principal investigators to determine priorities. This is a one-year term limited position with the possibility of extension based upon need and available funding.
*Non-Exempt (hourly) positions under FLSA are eligible for overtime.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or working on a Bachelor’s degree Related wet laboratory and/or research experience Successfully completed one or more post-secondary courses with a laboratory requirement Experience conducting standard wet laboratory procedures Experience handling biological specimensEssential Functions
