About the PositionThe contractor will report to a senior Europe researcher and will be responsible for supporting the team’s monitoring of economic, political, and regulatory developments in the developed Europe region. This position is remote, with a short term initial contract subject to extension. It is a research contractor role, requiring 0–2 years of work experience.
About the TeamThe contractor will be part of FrontierView’s global research team. The global research team produces all syndicated content for FrontierView’s client base of several thousand senior executives at multinational organizations. The team combines regional knowledge, macroeconomic and political insights, and business acumen to provide impactful analysis, forecasts, and executional advice for a senior executive audience. The team works in close collaboration with the commercial team in supporting FrontierView’s growth strategy and ongoing client relationships.

This is a unique position that ties together macroeconomic, political, and business analysis directly into corporate plans and actions for the world’s largest multinationals. The contractor will have exposure to engagement with C-suite level executives, giving them a look into the decision-making processes of the world’s largest businesses.
We are looking specifically for individuals with a passion for consumer goods and retail businesses. They should bring strong macroeconomic fundamentals and a solid understanding of how local dynamics, policy, politics, and other factors can interact with economic dynamics to shape the business environment. They should bring exceptionally strong communication skills, flexibility to adapt to commercial needs, and the ability to get up to speed quickly on unfamiliar topics.
The duration of this contract will be 6 - 12 months.What to Expect in the PositonConducting primary and secondary research to monitor economic developments and at times consumer and retail sector developments in the Europe region, and analyzing their implications on multinational companiesSupporting the creation of analysis and presentations that advise high level executives in multinational companies on business implications of economic and political developments in the Europe regionWriting research deliverables that are concise and impactful for a senior executive reader Monitoring and updating data related to the macroeconomics and at times the consumer sector in European marketsWhat Sets You ApartA Bachelor's, or preferably a Master’s degree, from a top-tier academic institutionDemonstrated knowledge of Europe through academic and/or professional research experience. An understanding of the current socio-political and economic environment in the region is particularly keyExceptional communication skills in English (writing, editing, and presenting) are requiredStrong economics knowledge, demonstrated through academic coursework or practical experience. Candidates should be able to apply macroeconomic principles to real-life country developments and draw conclusions about future trends and implicationsDemonstrated research experience (in academic or professional setting) including hypothesis-testing, structuring complex research projects, primary and secondary research, survey-building, and other research techniquesProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel) Demonstrated ability to cover a variety of topics and issues, including unfamiliar onesFamiliarity with quantitative economic analysisPersonal experience in Europe, including traveling, studying, or working in key markets in the region
