Job Summary: To procure aluminum and steel wheel cores and wheel covers for sales needs.

 

Essential Job Duties:

Establish and maintain supplier accounts to purchase wheels and wheel covers Maintain accurate records of purchases made and paperwork flow for proper accounting of purchase wheel reports Maintain high ethical standards Perform other specific administrative functions as directed by management Keep abreast of current market conditions and pricing of aluminum scrap market for proper pricing  Negotiate pricing and terms, transportation of purchased product and frequency of visits to suppliers Maintain direct line of communications with General Manager as well as other buyers regarding competitive situation, market conditions and scheduling Maintain accurate logs of purchases and the communication of those purchases to respective facilities, logistics coordinator and accounting The ability to distinguish between repairable and non-repairable wheel and/or wheel covers Drives a company vehicle in a sage, courteous and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accidents Physically loads company truck and verifies the condition of the truck, the manifest and other paperwork associated with the purchase of product Drives to the destination and physically unloads the truck, verifies purchases and maintains accuracy of purchase and paperwork with proper personnel Complies with established company policies and procedures Job training and job duties will require some periodic weekly travel. All travel will be determined in advance to allow for proper scheduling Employee must be willing to travel by Airlines when necessary Weekly travel expenses paid thru reimbursement to employees on a weekly basisi Assumes other duties as assigned
