About this role:

We are seeking a Senior Lead Control Management Officer within the Wholesale Operations Control organization which serves as the front line of risk and control management and is accountable for assessing and effectively managing all associated risks and controls for their respective groups. This team works to ensure internal controls, processes, and procedures are adequate and effective. This team works directly with executive management to understand the risks, exposures, and trends that impact the business. The group also collaborates on projects and initiatives by providing support and awareness of risks and mitigating control solutions.

As part of the Wholesale Operations Shared Solutions Control team, this role will focus on direct support of the Wholesale Operations Senior Leadership and Accountable Executive, the Wholesale Operations Shared Solutions Senior Leadership, the Wholesale Operations Control Executive and Control Director, Business Enablement, Cross Wholesale Operations Control projects and initiatives, RCSA, Issues Management, KRI and other risk and control program initiatives for organizations under Wholesale Operations.

 

Successful candidates will be articulate and possess a demonstrated leadership capability; they will be impressive in their inter-personal effectiveness and with regard to their accomplishments. It requires a leader with strong relationship management, influencing, vision and execution skills. A key differentiator will be the ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, heavily matrixed corporate environment. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement and output.

 

This role will work closely with other senior leaders across Wholesale Control and Wholesale Operations, and risk and operational partners from elsewhere in the company in the development and execution of company risk management strategies.


In this role, you will:

Partner with the Wholesale Operations Accountable Executive, Control Executive, RAU owners and BCMs to define Wholesale Operations controls standards and conduct reviews for process/risk/control opportunitiesPartner with the Wholesale Operations Accountable Executive, Control Executive, RAU owners and BCMs to identify RCSA Risk and Control rationalization opportunitiesLead ERIA risk inventory and document path for high risk reduction and alignment to RCSA effortsWork with Wholesale Operations Accountable Executive, Control Executive, RAU owners and BCMs to implement strategies to meet organizational measures of performance (ORKRI); in addition identify areas to calibrate and automate Leading cross Wholesale Operations prioritized control assessmentsAct as a point of contact for Wholesale Operations as it pertains to Cross Wholesale Operations projects and initiativesOversight of Wholesale Control Steer-Co to track all demand drivers, core team deliverables and escalation to councilPartner with BCMs and the Wholesale Operations LOB Governance Council to ensure connectivity to CB/CIB/WIM and all Relevant sub-councils to ensure appropriate visibility and escalationCollaborate with BCMs in support of RCSA and Issues Management governance and oversightSupport of the inventory of business processes, internal testing, audit, regulatory engagements outputs and the integration with RCSA, EBCE, Trigger Events, and other core control functions as applicableCollaborate with Wholesale Operations managers on control design, implementation, and monitoringAssessing control weaknesses and operational risk incidents (OREs) using methods such as root cause analysisReview controls for deficiencies and associated remediation (e.g., procedures gaps, rewriting control design and performance rationales to meet standards, rewriting MCR rationales to standardsCollaborate with Wholesale Operations to identify, open, monitor, close and validate all Issues, according to policyControl Development: Control Documentation, control evaluation, control implementation and monitoring


Required Qualifications:

7+ years of Risk Management or Financial Services Industry experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge and understanding of risk applications i.e. Shared Risk Platform (SHRP) and Service Now (SNOW)Knowledge and understanding of internal controls and internal control policyExperience with RCSA, risk/control identification and assessment, and enterprise risk frameworksStrong domain knowledge of Investment banking operationsAbility to synthesize data and/or observations from a variety of, often disparate and unconnected, sources, deliver succinct summaries (both verbal and written), and enact responses quicklyExceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills to effectively influence all organizational and leadership levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are a mustHighly organized and proactive with demonstrated ability to assess, exercise independent judgment, apply prudent risk management principles, prioritize work to meet deadlines, and proactively escalate when necessaryAbility to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to adapt to changing business needsHands on style; proven ability to structure tasks or projects, execute and achieve targeted results and develop and manage associated goals and plansIntellectual curiosity with proven ability to learn quickly through others as well as to conduct their own research and analysisEthical integrity and demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and apply prudent risk mitigation principlesAdvanced Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) skills

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
