As part of our Wireless Systems Validation, you’ll be responsible validating system performance in lab and field environments with goal of providing a good customer experience! Come join our team and help build world-renowned wireless systems that connect customers to their world! **Description** You will be responsible for validating the performance and functional aspects of Wireless on Apple products from a user experience perspective throughout their development lifecycle, from early prototypes to post-release phases. Your role will also involve ensuring that Wireless on Apple products remains at the forefront of technological advancements. You'll conduct in-depth analysis and proposing improvements to innovative technologies developed at Apple through focused experiments and real-world engineering analysis to improve overall end-user connectivity experiences. Key Responsibilities Include: - Developing and running Wi-Fi test plans with a primary focus on user experience to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance. - Performing failure analysis to identify hardware or software issues through laboratory and field experiments. - Conducting in-depth Wi-Fi/BT analysis of hardware, software, and system issues, including protocol stack analysis (PHY, MAC, Network, and Application layers). - Generating comprehensive system performance test reports that include key performance indicators, highlighting critical issues, and providing a concise, data-driven summary for senior management review. - Applying your data-driven expertise and deep engineering knowledge to influence program decisions. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors throughout the project lifecycle. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Electronics / Engineering field + 3+ years of validation experience in WiFi technologies + Solid understanding of existing wireless communication protocols, such as 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be **Key Qualifications** **Preferred Qualifications** + Good understanding or WiFi/Bluetooth/Cellular CoExistence. + Strong understanding of OS Internals, TCP/IP and other layer 3 protocols. + In depth knowledge of analyzing over the Air data. + Experience with Matlab, Python and Shell scripting + Working knowledge of WiFi systems and hands-on experience with lab testing and characterization. + Knowledge using and understanding of lab equipment: signal analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, sniffer tools + Open to travel and perform field testing **Education & Experience** **Additional Requirements** **Pay & Benefits** + At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
