What success looks like in this role:
This role will be a resource on the Department's Windows 10 to Windows 11 journey, including updating the SOE/MOE and it's components to an Essential 8 Maturity Level 2 standard, including uplifting security services to Defender, modernizing the application fleet to MSIX, and bringing in core management functions of a Windows 11 environment such as Intune, Azure AD and Defender.
Skills/Training Desired:
Microsoft SCCM/MECM and/or IntuneMOE / SOE, Task Sequence and Advanced Group Policy ManagementApplications Packaging (preferably MSI-X), including PowerShell and VBScriptSQL Server and Database administration skillsetsM365 Suite apps, including MS Teams, Exchange and PowerBI.Citrix Server and VDI environmentsUnderstanding of Microsoft O365 and Cloud Infrastructure (Azure, AWS or similar)Microsoft Defender and End Point ManagementIndustry Certifications highly desirable (specifically Microsoft and Cloud certification)ITIL V3 Certification Highly desiredIt is essential that all candidates are Australian Citizens with the ability to obtain & hold a minimum Baseline security clearance (NV1 preferred). Existing security clearances would be an advantage.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Requires Minimum of Baseline Security Clearance ( NV1 preferred).
Experience in 3rd Level Desktop/Endpoint support to an Enterprise Environment.
SOE Creation, Maintenance, and Deployment, including Windows and Security Updates.
Experience in the M365 stack – InTune, Azure AD, Sharepoint, Teams, and Exchange Online.
Experience in a Windows 10 and Windows 11 environment. Experience with migrating from Windows 10 to Windows 11 will be very valuable.
Experience and knowledge of SCCM and MECM infrastructure.
Applications Packaging and Deployment, both native and virtual.
PowerShell automation and scripting.
Manage Security Products including application whitelisting, anti-virus, and USB hardening.
Experience working with BAU and Project teams, and documenting solutions.
Microsoft and ITIL certifications not required, but beneficial.
Must be an Australian Citizen and minimum Baseline Security clearance required
This role is to assist a large Government client with a transition of its endpoint fleet to a modern device management stack, utilizing industry best practices and modern supported toolsets. This work will include both project and BAU phases and will have a requirement to be on-site with the client, however a flexible Office/WFH solution is available to meet these needs.
