What success looks like in this role:
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing a multi-forest/multi-domain Active Directory (AD) environment. They will implement best practices and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and security of the client’s IT infrastructure. The candidate must demonstrate skills and experience in managing Microsoft networking technologies, including Windows Server, DNS, and DHCP configurations. They will troubleshoot Active Directory issues, implement and manage security policies (including access controls, permissions, and auditing), and monitor the health and performance of Active Directory services to ensure high availability and reliability. Additionally, they will maintain and support Active Directory Federated Services and PKI infrastructure, along with related hardware and technologies. The candidate must possess advanced Windows Server administration skills, manage a small team of System Administrators, execute medium to complex changes, prepare and implement changes per implementation plans, and relay alerts and situation status information to both clients and Unisys management,
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support the Active Directory infrastructure, including user account management, group policies, and organizational units.Implement and manage security policies, including access controls, permissions, and auditing.Troubleshoot Active Directory issues such as replication problems, authentication failures, and DNS-related issues.Monitor and report on AD and network health and performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.Implement and enforce security best practices for AD, including user authentication, access controls, and group policies.Support and manage Microsoft networking technologies, including Windows Server, DNS, and DHCP configurations.Maintain and support Active Directory Federated Services, related hardware, and technologies.Maintain and support the client’s internal public key infrastructure (PKI) and related hardware.Develop and maintain documentation related to AD configurations, network setups, migration procedures, and troubleshooting guides.Work cross-functionally with other teams to drive initiatives.Collaborate with senior staff members to resolve escalated, complex incidents.Create and maintain documentation of all systems and application configurations and modifications. Continually seek opportunities to improve the existing AD architecture.Participate in Windows Server on-call rotation.Lead a small team of administrators supporting the Windows AD, IAM, and PKI environments.You will be successful in this role if you have:
University degree or equivalent education and experience.Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in managing and supporting Windows Server and Active Directory environments.Proven experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, ADFS, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and Group Policy.Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation and management tasks.Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate are desirable.Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in large hybrid cloud environments.Benefits Blurb:
