Windows Interop Test Engineer
**Company:** Qualcomm China **Job Area:** Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Systems Test Engineering **General Summary:** Tests and modifies general systems-level software/hardware, specialized utility and/or hardware. Interprets wireless specifications. Designs test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. Documents systems-level defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to developers. Identifies, analyzes, troubleshoots, and documents problems with program function, output, or content. Develops testing programs that assess effectiveness of a new system or modification of an existing system. **Minimum Qualifications:** • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. **Responsibilities** As an Interop Test Engineer, working scope includes: + Co-work with global test team to design display/USB test plan and execute for both internal and customer projects. Provide qualified test report, support dev, CE and customers for issues debugging, initial triage and fix tracking. + Work closely with project leads/other function groups to guarantee the high quality on time delivery of key milestones for all kinds of projects. + Cross teamwork with dev, marketing and CE teams for display area competitive analysis, customer demo, advanced technology and all kinds of market promotion test support. + Automation framework deployment, tools development for test quality and efficiency improvement + Support on lab test environment setup and maintenance for different functional, performance and quality test purpose + Research and self-motivation for new test method/tool/strategy exploration and initiatives. **Skills/Experiences:** + Master degree in computer science or equivalent. 5+ years of display area and Windows/Android platform testing experience. Bachelor with matching career experience could also be considered. + Experienced for test planning, issue analysis, summary, reporting and complete product test cycle support. + Good comprehension of win graphics, display subsystem and corresponding testing. + Good knowledge of external display tech including VGA, DVI, HDMI, DP, MST, and usb2.0/3.0/4.0/TBT, etc. + Good knowledge for win display related feature like display mode (res/refresh), HDR, power management, UEFI, etc. + Knowledge and test experience for external display HDMI, DP link and physical layer compliance testing is a plus. + Familiar with display panel objective quality KPI measurement, covering gamma, gamut, brightness, is a plus. + Automation test design, development and deployment knowledge is also a strong plus. Prefer to have hands on scripting capability regarding python, perf, shell, batch, etc. + Must be a self-motivated, creative and initiative individual with strong interest in trouble shooting and taking on new challenges + Good written and oral communication skills in English.
