Hours

Full time: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5.30pm (with half-hour lunch), Friday 8am – 5pm (with half-hour lunch) and every second Saturday, 8am – 12pm

About the role

As a Windscreen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and expanding the operations of the Windscreen department, leading and supporting mobile glass technicians as they carry out the repair and replacement of vehicle glass within our branches. You will ensure we deliver a high-quality service while working efficiently and maximising productivity.  With the aim of delivering the best possible service to our customers, this role also involves managing enquiries, bookings, team performance, stock control and route planning.

We're looking for someone with strong management and communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a calm solution-oriented approach. You’ll have a proactive can-do attitude, with strong attention to detail and the drive to achieve and exceed sales targets, while minimising costs.

Day-to-day duties

Respond and action email and telephone enquiries in a fast, professional, efficient, and timely manner, adhering to SLA. Provide quotations and ordering parts from our suppliers, ensuring the systems are updated in accordance with our process. Place bookings and organising technician routes, ensuring customer priority and maximise productivity. Daily invoicing and staff administration. Monitor and control stock, costs, and account management.

Essential skills and experience

Knowledge in windscreen repairs/replacements ensuring adherence to industry standards Strong leadership skills with experience in training and managing technicians Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills Meticulous attention to detail Understanding of sales targets and how to achieve and exceed them Strong management and communication skills

Nice to have but not essential

Though an understanding of Microsoft Excel is required for the role, training may be available for the right candidate.
