This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking for a professional customer service role and enjoys entertaining. We offer part-time opportunities during daytime, evening, midweek and on weekends.
THE WINE RETAIL EDUCATORS AT THE GOOD EARTH HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
+ Greet arriving guests and welcome them in a friendly and efficient manner
+ Educate guests on the wine and product selection, making effective recommendations to promote sales
+ Accurately process transactions and receive payments from customers for wine and other retail product sales using the POS system
+ Get to know the guests; be able to comfortably answer any questions a guest may have; ensure guest satisfaction
+ Ensure complete product knowledge (including but not limited to wine varieties, region, tasting notes, and food pairings) to enhance customer experience and appreciation
+ Utilize Smart Serve training to ensure guests are served in a responsible manner, checking identification to verify legal age requirements for customers when warranted
+ Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing areas, ensuring products are well-displayed and accessible
+ Make a difference in the lives of each and every one of our guests by directly contributing to their extraordinary experiences
+ Exercise good judgment and demonstrate leadership abilities
+ Drive positive change in the organization
+ Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
+ Other duties as assigned
WINE RETAIL EDUCATOR POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
+ Friendly, professional and customer service focused
+ Knowledge of wine, wine pairings, and/or related certifications an asset
+ Minimum of 1-2 years previous customer service experience
+ Experience handling cash and processing payments an asset
+ Positive, outgoing and friendly team player
+ Flexible availability to work day-time and evenings both mid-week and on weekends required
+ Smart Serve Certification required
