We're hiring Snowcoach Drivers/Guides at Old Faithful Snow Lodge and Mammoth Hot Springs. Experience the "secret season" of Yellowstone – an unforgettable winter adventure awaits! Job Summary: This multifaceted role combines tour guiding, driving, and equipment operation in all weather conditions. The position requires extensive knowledge of the park, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to safely operate and maintain vehicles. Candidates must be flexible, professional, and able to work long hours in challenging outdoor environments while representing the company positively. The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: December 2024 to March 2025 Pay: $15.25/hour - $17.25/hour Schedule: Schedules are extremely variable and may change frequently. Drivers can expect to spend up to 10 hours per day just driving, with up to 15 hours of total daily work. Position is considered full-time at 40 hours per week but may vary depending on reservations and business needs (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Yellowstone National Park? Employee discounts on retail, food & beverage, lodging, and activities in Yellowstone Employee discounts at local gateway communities 100+ miles of cross-country ski trails (both groomed and skier tracked) Outdoor ice skating rinks Fresh air, breathtaking views, and clear night skies World-class wildlife viewing and stunning scenery offering amazing photography opportunities Responsibilities Safe and proper operation of wheeled and tracked company equipment in all weather conditions Up to 10 hours consecutive driving on rough and/or icy roads, with up to 15 hours of total daily work Maintaining professionalism while working outdoors in extreme weather and during vehicle breakdowns Preform all duties of the “Winter Mammoth Hot Springs Dispatch Office Assistant” when acting as the Hut Attendant per the Office Assistant Job Description Perform daily service on equipment such as refueling company and private vehicles, adding fluids, cleaning and minor mechanical repair Operating wheeled vehicles as needed for touring and other operational needs Loading and unloading of luggage and ski equipment Providing courteous guest service Providing a knowledgeable and accurate interpretive commentary of park features while touring within Yellowstone National Park Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the natural, cultural, and geologic history of Yellowstone National Park Keeping tours on a time schedule. Must be punctual Prompt and correct completion of all required reports and documents Representing the Company in a positive manner Responsible for a clean and neat appearance in the prescribed uniform Working in a safe and prudent manner while preforming all aspects of the job Frequent overnight stays at other facilities both in and outside of Yellowstone National Park is required Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Driver’s License Must possess current 1st Aid/CPR certifications (training provided if needed) Winter driving skills with a good driving record Able to communicate effectively through speech and hearing Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues within designated time lines Good reading and comprehension skills to research tour information relating to Park history and features Able to organize information about Yellowstone Park into an interpretive thematic tour Knowledge of National Park Service, Company and Departmental policies and procedures Physical Requirements include: Must meet all DOT physical requirements and be able to pass a DOT physical exam Able to bend, twist and lift up to 50lbs simultaneously and repeatedly Able to withstand up to 12 or more hours consecutive driving on rough and/or icy roads Able to work outdoors in variable weather (including rain, sleet, snow, direct sunlight, high winds, and temperatures ranging from -60 degrees to +50 degrees Fahrenheit) Ability to operate company vehicles at an expert level with full use of both hands and feet Able to walk up to a mile several times each day at elevations ranging from 5,300 feet to 10,500 feet above sea level Ability to sit for extended periods of time We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
