During the winter months, Copper's world-class terrain offers skiing and riding for all ages and abilities. Each summer, the mountain transforms into a playground for hikers, mountain bikers, and anyone seeking a genuine Colorado experience. Copper Mountain Resort is also home to Woodward Copper action-sports camps, programs, and training facility.
Volunteer Title: Slope Maintenance Trail Crew Volunteer
Volunteer Commitment: 7 days

Volunteer Summary:
Volunteer alongside the trail crew to provide general labor for assigned maintenance projects to ready Copper Mountain Resort terrain for opening. Through dedication, seven 8 hour days (or six 10 hour days which occur in the late summer/early fall) will earn you a season pass. If accepted into the volunteer slope maintenance bootpacker program an email will be sent describing the volunteer schedule and what gear is needed when (helmet and ski/ride equipment/boots/rain gear).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Skipacking/Bootpacking
Snow fence installation and maintenance
Set up and maintenance of ski/snowboard racks
Set up and maintenance of hydrant pads
Shoveling of snow away from infrastructure
Assist the snowmaking department with a variety of tasks
Copper Mountain Resort terrain preparation and maintenance
Sign maintenance
Various other trail maintenance assignments/projects
Other Duties as Assigned:
Functions as an ambassador of Copper Mountain, modeling and sharing the Copper “culture” with our guests and employees. Upholds the most professional image. Continually strives to exceed our guest’s expectations and create memories for our guests and staff.

Basic Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

Skiing/ Snowboarding Level: Advanced OR Expert
Must be able to complete seven 8 hour days or six 10 hours days of volunteering by December 31st
Must be able to show up on time, with the necessary gear, and ready to volunteer
Must be in good physical condition, able to volunteer in a cold alpine environment and efficiently ski/snowboard steep double black terrain
Must provide all necessary personal clothing and equipment to perform the volunteer position safely and efficiently
Must be able to follow all volunteer policies as described in the handbook
Must sign volunteer paperwork prior to completing any volunteering
