The Scooter Coach position is an integral part of the camper's experience, providing a dynamic platform that is unmatched. You will execute and support all aspects of the program, including overall curriculum and appropriate use of facilities. The goal is to ensure a high level of training and progression, making sure campers are engaged and participating in a responsible manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Attend and participate in staff training, meetings and touch bases to acquire knowledge for behavior management techniques, emergency evacuation procedures, etc.Ensure campers are acting responsibly, respectfully and following all camp standardsAssist with Scooter Program events and clinicsEvaluate camper skill levels and discuss progression comparisons while providing feedback for ongoing skill developmentAssist campers in daily routine including chores, overall cabin/surrounding area cleanliness, travelling to program activities and mealsEnsure each camper's individual needs are met regarding their overall "well-being" (health, safety and wellness)Create a cohesive and positive cabin experience amongst all campers in the cabinLead/Assist with Recreation Activities as scheduledLead/Assist with Nightly Camp Get Togethers as scheduledOther duties as assigned. 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS:  

Preferred 1+ years of experience working with kids and/or teens Experience working in a camp environment is preferred High school degree or equivalent preferred   Experience in action sports coaching preferred Strong interpersonal skills. Able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Has the ability to take direction and uphold the company's values

BASIC SCHEDULE/REQUIREMENTS:

FBI and DOJ Fingerprint Screening RequiredMust successfully pass a background screening to ensure suitability of contact with minor children and the public, in accordance with federal, state, and local jurisdictionsPhysical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50 lbs. Must be comfortable working in an outdoor and indoor all-season environment Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelinesCamp Attendance Requirements: Winter Camp Dec 27th - Dec 31stProvide work related references upon request
