SUMMARY 

The Day Porter will be responsible for a designated job site contracted to BGIS for service. They will execute cleaning duties and ensure maintenance of the facility is being fulfilled as per the client contract while adhering to health and safety practices with utmost professionalism striving to exceed client expectations.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

General Cleaning Duties

·       Patrol Bathrooms.

·       Replenish bathrooms with supplies.

·       Empties and cleaning waste baskets.

·       Cleans and disinfects washroom fixtures using green sealed products.

·       Spot cleans walls, partitions, light switches and doors.

·       Cleans and polishes chrome and other polished metal surfaces.

·       Maintain lobby entrance doors clean.

·       Maintain cleanliness of main lobby area.

·       Monitor, clean common areas.

·       Spot clean elevator doors/panels.

·       Accept deliveries of cleaning supplies and organize stock.

·       Respond to spills and any other cleaning requests.

·       Light bulb replacement.

Other

·       Notifies management of occurring deficiencies or needs of repairs.

·       Responsibilities may vary depending on the work site location.

Other duties that may assigned

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

·       Requires 1-year minimum experience in industrial/commercial facility cleaning operations.

·       Self-starter, willing to learn, able to work independently.

·       Team player.

·       Good verbal communication and writing skills.

·       Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.

·       Positive attitude toward all aspects of Environment, Health and Safety.

·       Knowledge of national and industry codes and standards such as WHMIS.
