Essential Responsibilities  

Patrol highways and report road conditions Monitor and record weather events and forecasts Recommend priority locations to address to your lead hand or shop supervisor Contact operators to bring on shift as required Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required  Maintain Ontario Provincial Highways year-round, including assisting with Labourer duties (pothole repair, guardrail repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)  Help ensure health, safety, and environment related concerns are addressed promptly 

 Qualifications  

Must possess an AZ or DZ license, and must have a clear 3-year driver's abstract Must have knowledge of provincial and/or municipal highway maintenance specifications Must have professional written and verbal communication skills Must be approachable, ethical, and accountable Snow plow and loader experience is an asset Experienced with Microsoft office including Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word

Work Conditions  

Applicants that reside in Bruce Mines, Ontario will be given preference due to the location of the work.As we respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required Seasonal work from September to MayWork outside in all weather conditions
