WIP/AN9 Operator 2nd Shift
Job Description

Danfoss in Easley, SC has an opening for a WIP/AN9 Operator 2nd Shift. The WIP Operator will inspect assemblies using blueprints, GOS’s (Graphical Operation Sheet) and Engineering test specifications to help ensure our customers receive a quality product.  This team member will also be required to perform some final assembly and kitting at times.  SAP access will be required, and transaction performed for Sub-assemblies, cartridge confirmations, reverse confirmations, work order creation, scrap transaction and movements and creation of delivery notes for shipping.  The WIP operator will also collect all non-conforming material and update the scrap database and SAP with the appropriate information. 

 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Cartridge production confirmation using SAP transactions.  Work order creation in SAP. Scrap transaction and movement data entry for production department Sub-assembly confirmation (Hard Turn, Hone and Robo-Drill operations) Retrieve information from computer on assembly instructions (GOS, Blueprints and Engineering Test Orders) Maintain a clean and safe work area. Comprehend and execute instructions from engineering blueprints, routings, work instructions. Inspect for and analyze defective assemblies and communicate findings to ME team and Supervisor.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

High School education or GED equivalency. Must have basic math skills. Must be able to read and write legibly. 

Must be able to work standing for extended periods.  Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively. You must have good motor skills.  

 Mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes. Familiarity with TPM and SMED techniques.  

Working knowledge of quality/problem solving tools (PPAP, Capability studies, PFMEA, Gauge R&R, 4-Step, 8D, Fishbone)
