Wirebond Operation and Strain Relief Development Technician
CTG is seeking to fill a Development Technician opening for our client in San Jose, CA. Location: San Jose, CA Duration: Long-term Contract Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. OT when needed ( typically limited to 2-10 hrs a week if needed) Key Responsibilities: Micro-electronics Assembly: Prior experience with Wire bonding process and equipment. familiarity with components bonding processes using adhesives. Experience with precision assembly equipment. Understanding of basic mechanical and electrical testing of components and assemblies. Mechanical dexterity and Microscope utilization. Installation repair and Maintenance: Setting up and maintaining a wide variety of electronics testing equipment and electromechanical equipment. Conducting tests on equipment to ensure it meets specifications and calibrating systems for optimal performance. System Design and Development: Working with engineers to design and develop new electromechanical systems, including selecting components, creating schematics, and testing prototypes. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and testing procedures. Working with other engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel to ensure successful system integration and operation. Required Skills and Qualifications: Technical Proficiency: Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, including circuits, sensors, actuators, and control systems. Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve basic issues in electromechanical systems. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data from tests and troubleshoot systems effectively. Manual Dexterity: Experience using hand and power tools for assembly, disassembly, and repair of components. Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Associate degree Minimum 3 years working in the High tech industry Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Computer Skills: Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software for design and documentation, as well as experience with programming and control systems. Precision Instruments : Ability to operate Analytical tools such as AFM, SEM, Zygo, Tencor Associate degree in Math or science Minimum 5 years working in the High tech industry, Medical device Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
