Detailed Job Description
• Deep understanding of WLAN technologies, network management, and security, including IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac WLAN standards and industry best practices.
• · Excellent understanding of Cisco and Aruba wireless infrastructure and architecture. Good hands-on experience with Wireless LAN controller and AP troubleshooting as well as with the WLC IOS Code upgrade.
• · Hands on Experience on Cisco WLC models like 9800, 8500, 5520, 5508, 2504, 5508 with HA SSO and all models of Cisco APs including wave 2 and next generation 9100 series APs.
• · Deploy and configure WLC in HA mode and test / validate / document HA capabilities • · Must have experience on next generation wireless solutions IOS-XE (9800 WLC and 9100 AP).
• · Experience on 802.1x Authentication protocols WPA2-Enterprise, Web portal authentication, Role based access control.
• · Solid knowledge and recent experience with current and upcoming wireless RF standards on Wi-Fi, 802.11g/n/ac/ax. Extensive knowledge of security protocols and authentication (Wi-Fi Protected Access [WPA2], Extensible Authentication Protocol-Transport Layer Security [EAP-TLS], 802.1x, Authentication, Authorization, Accounting [AAA]) and Multi-Factor Authentication.
• · Level 3 skills and knowledge on wireless protocols, traffic flow, end to end wireless network topology, encryption, and roaming architecture.
• Excellent Network troubleshooting skills and must be able to quickly identify and resolve network related issues in smallest possible time.
• · Fundamental knowledge of switching / routing protocols and authentication.
• Experience with Cisco Prime, DNAC a plus.
• · Hands on knowledge and understanding of Cisco ISE or Aruba Wireless infrastructure will be added advantage. • Able to handle all L3 level escalations
• Perform physical restoration of device and configurations • Interact with the client on a day-to-day basis and understand changes in the process
• Upgrade IOS and patches as per schedule.
• Handles all changes as per the change management process.
• Work on complex problem tickets and trend analysis to resolve repeated wireless issues.
Certifications - CCNP (Wireless) , ACMA,ClearPass, ISE
