Complete Description:
Assess, design, implement, and support small to large network projects. The Wireless Engineers will be responsible for working on both indoor and outdoor wireless network to support daily government operations, public safety and public broadband access.
The position requires design and implementation of complex IP-based wireless systems that satisfy specific end-customer requirements with guidance from Lead Engineers and Team Leader. WLAN and 802.11 a/b/g/i/n/ac expertise; 5 years of expertise designing, deploying, configuring, commissioning & administering Wireless LAN products & technologies, including: Cisco Wireless Technologies – LWAPs, WLCs, WiSMs, WCS, NCS and MSE; Ruckus Wireless Technologies-ZoneFlex APs, ZoneDirector and FlexMaster. Possess an understanding of RF signal transmissions & antenna behavior; WLAN Security in the areas of authentication, encryption, AAA, RADIUS protocol, etc.; Must be able to conduct and document a wireless site survey, including the ability to generate a final design, an equipment BOM, and implementation documentation; Possess an understanding of IP subnetting, routing and switching. The position may require climbing ladder and lifting upto 50 lbs.
Development of new wireless system project proposals will be required which would include the development of proposal document and drawings that effectively describes the system.
