WMS Engineer
Support Center - Irving

All Michaels Distributions Centers operate using the same warehouse management system (WMS). The WMS engineers are needed to support the system functionality for the business (distribution centers).

Major Activities

Monitor open issues/resolutions for new Warehouse Management System (WMS)Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of changes and issue resolution and provide results and feedback to the Michaels IT team.Monitor new IT tickets submitted by all Distribution CentersSupport Distribution Centers with new WMS as needed for problem resolutionUnderstand and support WMS configuration changes for legacy WMS based on business needsParticipate in design, UAT, and deployment of all WMS major changes, including upgradesTravel to DC sites during deployment of upgrades and major changes (as needed)Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills

Experience with warehouse management systemsBlue Yonder version 2019 or greater a plusProficiency with Word and Excel

Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires

Distribution center operations and systemic transactions

Preferred Education

Bachelor’s Degree

Basic understanding of SQL queriesAdvanced proficiency with Word and Excel

Experience with configuration or design of warehouse management systems
