You Are:
An experienced WMS Technical Lead with expertise in HighJump WMS to join our team. In this role, you will lead the technical aspects of warehouse management system (WMS) implementation, configuration, and optimization projects for our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure successful system deployments, integrations, and continuous improvements in warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership abilities, and deep experience with HighJump WMS.
The Opportunity:
· Lead the technical execution of HighJump WMS implementation projects, including system configuration, integration, and customization.
· Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients and internal teams, guiding the development and deployment of WMS solutions.
· Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technical consultants, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices.
· System Design & Configuration:
· Lead the design, configuration, and customization of HighJump WMS to meet client-specific business requirements and workflows.
· Collaborate with business analysts and functional teams to ensure that WMS configurations align with overall business goals and operational processes.
· Design and implement system integrations between HighJump WMS and other enterprise systems, such as ERP, TMS, and third-party applications.
· Project Delivery:
· Align with the PMs for planning, execution, and delivery of WMS technical projects, ensuring they are as per the client specifications and timelines.
· Manage risk and issue resolution during the implementation process, working proactively to address any technical challenges.
· Technical Support & Optimization:
· Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting for HighJump WMS systems to ensure ongoing functionality and performance.
· Perform system health checks, identify areas for optimization, and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.
· Monitor system performance, resolve technical issues, and implement upgrades or patches as necessary to ensure high availability and reliability of the WMS environment.
· Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
· Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system configurations, integration points, customizations, and troubleshooting guides.
· Establish and maintain knowledge-sharing practices within the team, ensuring that lessons learned from projects are captured and disseminated.
· Conduct internal training sessions on HighJump WMS technical best practices, system troubleshooting, and new feature rollouts.
· Client Interaction & Stakeholder Management:
· Act as the technical liaison between clients and the project team, ensuring that technical requirements are well understood and met.
· Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Provide ongoing support and technical consultation to clients, helping them maximize the value of their HighJump WMS investment.

What You Need:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in WMS implementation and support, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience working specifically with HighJump WMS.
· Proven track record of successfully leading the technical aspects of WMS projects, including configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
· Strong experience with warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management processes.
· Technical Skills:
· Deep expertise in HighJump WMS architecture, configuration, customization, and integration.
· Strong understanding of database management, SQL, and systems integration techniques, especially as it relates to HighJump WMS.
· Proficient in working with HighJump integration tools (e.g., HighJump Connect, APIs, and web services).
· Familiarity with warehouse technologies such as barcode scanning, RFID, and mobile devices.
· Leadership & Communication:
· Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide and mentor technical teams.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
· Ability to manage client relationships, build trust, and ensure satisfaction with technical solutions.
· Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to diagnose complex issues and design effective solutions.
· Ability to think critically and troubleshoot issues across various components of the WMS system.
· Preferred Qualifications:
· Certifications:
· Certifications in HighJump WMS, warehouse management systems, or related fields.
· Technical Expertise:
· Familiarity with complementary technologies such as RFID, IoT in logistics, or other supply chain automation tools.
· Industry Knowledge:
· Experience in large-scale WMS deployments across multiple warehouse environments.
· Knowledge of specifics in retail and distribution
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Illinois
Compensation Range: $87,000-$131,000
Benefits
Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.
