WMS Training Specialist

Primary Responsibility :

Provide excellent service to our internal and external customers by providing Warehouse Management System (WMS) related training and support functions. Work with leadership, colleagues, and facility to create, design, develop, and deliver quality training to site personnel relating to all aspects of the WMS system. Provide on-site and remote support as well as troubleshoot and resolve varying levels of issues.

What You’ll Do :

Provide on-site training and support to all facility personnel for WMS implementations including any related interfaces or ancillary systems 
provide first-level support for on-site go-live and post-go-live support to ensure the sustainability of the new WMS system  serve as second-tier support for troubleshooting and resolving regular WMS service desk tickets  Design, develop, and deliver training both in the classroom and virtually to Office Staff, Supervisors, Wave Planners, Inventory Control, Site Management, and Operators  Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand, define and capture training requirements and propose appropriate learning strategies and curriculum that successfully address the needs of the target audience and involve suitable training delivery modalities  Perform needs assessment and audience analysis to determine performance gaps and identify opportunities, priorities, and appropriate training interventions  Manage the process for the training lifecycle, from initial analysis/inception through completion/delivery and evaluation using ADDIE, Kirkpatrick Model of Evaluation, etc. on multiple deliverables with aggressive timelines

What Experience and Education You Need :

High School Diploma  Ability to facilitate training sessions in the classroom, virtually, or 1:1   At least 3 years of WMS experience   At least 1 year of experience in Instructional Designer/eLearning Specialist/Technical Trainer   Must be able to commit up to 70% plus travel 

What Could Set You Apart :

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Technology, Instructional Design, Communications, or related programs  WMS Super User experience with one of the following: Körber, HighJump, Cloverleaf, P2/Power, Red Prairie, AS400, JDA/BY, etc. Self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail with the ability to follow up in a timely manner  Excellent verbal communication skills and patience when working with those who are less knowledgeable  Learning Management System experience, preferably Cornerstone

Physical Requirements :

Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching, or bending Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work Talking, hearing, and seeing are important elements of completing assigned tasks May require travel by automobile and airplane up for business May require a visit to a facility operating in temperatures at or below freezing May carry loads related to travel and occasionally lifts, carries, positions, or moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds Requires the use of various electronic tools Requires the ability to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions: must partner with colleagues without exhibiting behavioral extremes Requires the performance of work activities including reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to constructive feedback from executive management

The Company’s good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting for this position is $73,000 - $81,000 annually. Rate may vary based on work location.
