Overview Lovelace Women’s Hospital, the first and only hospital in New Mexico devoted to women’s health, has 120 licensed beds, including a 53-bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit, family care unit, an award-winning breast care center and the first robotic surgery program in the state recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation. Position Summary The Women’s & Children’s Program Administrator plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of programs, ensuring exceptional patient experiences, and driving growth across the region. This dynamic leadership role focuses on developing and executing long- and short-term business strategies and operational plans while collaborating with medical directors and system leadership to set and achieve quality priorities and deliver outstanding outcomes. Responsibilities include overseeing the design, structure, and implementation of programs, ensuring success through innovative initiatives that enhance quality, service excellence, and regulatory compliance. The role also involves building and maintaining strong relationships with referring providers, organizations, and payers while identifying opportunities to expand services and add new programs to meet regional needs. Responsibilities Collaborates with Local/Market leaders to optimize governance. Assists with recruitment and onboarding of new employees, leaders, and providers as appropriate. Successfully balances short-term and long-term objectives; thinks conceptually; and is proactive and achievement oriented. Demonstrates measurable year-over-year growth and improved performance in Women’s and Children’s Programs. Measures the performance of the various work units, checking progress and establishing controls to ensure that tasks are completed and plans are carried out. Accelerates business plan execution in selected priorities and conducts regular communication to more fully support business plan execution. Builds strong working relationships with a diverse group of constituents such as Market and Facility leaders, department leaders, providers, employees, and external customers (referring providers, facilities, and payers). Demonstrates the ability to function effectively as a team member while simultaneously serving as an advocate for their service lines. Enhances and refines growth tactics in support of program development opportunities. Accelerates execution through stakeholder involvement and removal of barriers. Support the assessment of capital infrastructure. Assists in the prioritization of supply expense savings opportunities and execution on planned tactics. Identifies the Women’s and Children’s Program customers, reviews patient, physician and employee satisfaction data regarding needs, concerns, and priorities, and develops and implements plans based on this information. Operates effectively within the applicable constraints imposed by state and federal legal statutes, Joint Commission requirements, and requirements of other external agencies as appropriate. Coordinates and expands programs to ensure consistency between Lovelace hospitals (GRACE program, Labor of Love, Baby Friendly and other initiatives). Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree is required. Masters level training or equivalent experience in business or operations highly preferred. Three (3) years of work experience in a Women’s and/or Children’s related environment and at least three (3) years of business development and/or management experience, required Two (2) years experience as a Manager or Director of a Women’s or Children’s Department, preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Must have broad knowledge of women’s and children’s services; knowledge of marketing and service line development; strong leadership and management skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills; judgment, tact, and diplomacy; and critical thinking and analytical skills.
