**Job Title** Word and Excel Developer **Job Description Summary** Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Excel and Word Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in developing and maintaining sophisticated Excel and Word templates for Appraisal processes, ensuring that all documents are designed for accuracy, usability, and efficiency. You will be responsible for building, updating, and releasing changes to templates, as well as troubleshooting and fixing bugs as part of a collaborative project-based environment. The role will require coordination with multiple stakeholders to ensure that template updates are executed seamlessly and meet the requirements of the organization. **Job Description** **Key Responsibilities:** + **Template Development:** + Design and develop custom Excel and Word templates for Appraisal processes, ensuring alignment with business requirements. + Build and maintain Appraisal templates that are accurate, efficient, and user-friendly. + Customize templates with advanced Excel functions (formulas, VBA scripting, data validation) and Word document formatting to support appraisal processes. + **Bug Fixes and Troubleshooting:** + Identify and resolve issues or bugs in existing Excel and Word templates to improve functionality and performance. + Provide technical support for template-related problems, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations. + **Project Management & Collaboration:** + Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to understand template requirements, schedule updates, and implement changes as part of broader project timelines. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that template releases and bug fixes meet business objectives. + Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide progress updates and release information. + **Quality Assurance & Documentation:** + Perform thorough testing and validation of all template changes to ensure they are accurate and meet organizational standards. + Document all modifications and updates to templates, ensuring proper version control and clear documentation of bug fixes and feature changes. + **Release Management:** + Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to deploy updated templates across various teams and departments. + Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of the changes and are properly trained or supported in using the updated templates. + **Continuous Improvement:** + Evaluate existing processes and suggest improvements for template designs and functionality to streamline workflows. + Stay up to date on best practices in Excel and Word development to ensure templates are efficient and modern. **Qualifications:** + **Experience:** + Proven experience working as an Excel and Word Developer or in a similar role, with a strong focus on automation, template development, and troubleshooting. + Solid understanding of Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables, data models) and Word document formatting and automation (e.g., macros, templates). + Experience with VBA programming to automate tasks and develop custom solutions is highly preferred. + **Skills:** + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. + Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing templates with large datasets or complex formatting. + Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders. + Project management experience, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a collaborative environment. + **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field is preferred. + Relevant certifications in Microsoft Office or programming (VBA, Excel, etc.) are a plus. **Additional Attributes:** + Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. + Ability to adapt to evolving project needs and respond to feedback from stakeholders. + High level of organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
