Internship: Work Based Learning Intern

Summary:  Cherokee Millwright is seeking a self-motivated intern to participate in the work-based learning program for the Maryville, TN location. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Must work safe while following the verbal and written direction of the shop foreman.

Adhere to all safety protocols.

Develop beginner skills in fabrication to include, but limited to; measuring, cutting, painting, welding, shearing, and breaking sheet metal.

Supervisory Responsibilities:                                                          

None

Qualifications and Education:

Familiarity with the construction industry

Must have good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in high school or graduated December 2023

Eligible through their school to participate.

Satisfactory background check and drug screening

The noise level in the work environment is loud occasionally.
