The compensation target range for this role is:
$17.50Job Summary
Conducts training of Production Laborers on processes for their assigned production line. As well as performs skill development activities with current Production Laborers.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
Champion safety rules and regulations
Perform and teach all basic processes and procedures within assigned department including machine operation, change overs, and advanced troubleshooting along with defect identification and inspection
Throughout new Production Laborers’ introductory period, review development of skills, ability, and knowledge of their department and Purple culture with the Line Manager.
Document training on individual training records and training matrix
Update Line Manager on completed and incomplete training
Evaluate all operators in the department for conformance with procedures periodically during the review period
Ensure production flow rates through continuous training of Production Laborers
Work with Line Manager and other trainers to solve training issues
Promote continuous improvement processes and procedures
Give feedback to the Line Manager regarding operator progress and evaluation of skills and abilities
Assists with the implementation of company training programs in assigned department
Maintain accurate data reporting in Purple proprietary software systems
Facilitate work cell process changeover from shift to shift
Works as an operator in various production settings to accomplish production goals
Drive machine efficiency and labor effectiveness
Ability to attend off-shift events. Overtime may be required
Assist line manager in promoting daily quality, safety, and throughput targets
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
1 year of experience in manufacturing processing and/or assembly areas preferred.
6 months as a Purple Employee
Prior experience conducting training in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Basic lean principles and 5S knowledge preferred
Ability to stand for long periods of time (12-hour shifts)
Ability to lift 50 lbs independently
Excellent attendance record
