Work Management Planner

Job Summary The Work Management Planner is responsible for developing plans that facilitate work execution. Planners are expected to develop plans that are barrier free, including verifying that materials and resources are available to execute work plans. The Planners will also facilitate process improvements to make work plans more productive and cost competitive. The Planner will communicate regularly with the Supervisors and Equipment Experts/Owners to ensure job plans are up to date and improved and that work is being planned according to the appropriate priorities. Planners should be the system experts on the Work Management System at the station. They should have full knowledge of the system required to perform the planning function and should be available to other station personnel for assistance as needed. Responsibilities + Daily review of work requests and work order backlogs. + Planning preparation by reviewing scope of work and validating accounting. + Develop and coordinate detailed work plans, ensuring resources, tools, and materials are available to support execution of work week schedules. + Communicating with craft technicians, supervisors, operations, procurement, and Safety/Environmental personnel, to ensure good work packages. + Researching history of previous work orders, visiting the job site, and identifying Hazards and Precautions. + Work with Engineering and Plant Engineers to establish and optimize maintenance programs. + Identifying materials/parts for the job and notifying Buyers to obtain material/parts + Identifying craft and/or engineering as needed for the tasks. Work with Contract Resource Coordinator (CRC), Plant Engineers (SOs) and Engineering to address resource and technical requirements to support barrier free work. + Ensure timely planning of Work Orders. + Should visit the job site and use a Planning Checklist to determine job requirements. + Build a work package by ensuring documentation (procedures, drawings, permit information, and LOTO information) is included to eliminate barriers and ensure safe and environmentally efficient work execution. + Provide input during the weekly scheduling meeting. Planners should be aware of the jobs he/she has planned and be able to discuss them if required. + Maintaining accurate Asset data and addressing configuration management, Spare Parts Lists and assuring proper documents are linked to the appropriate assets. + Support processes established at the station. For example, if available or if standing in for the Scheduler, the Planner should attend Daily Schedule Meetings and review changes necessary due to delays or new priorities. Planners can also make recommendations on potential solutions to barriers identified during Work Process. + Capable of performing scheduler responsibilities, including developing resource-loaded work schedules, evaluating work order backlogs, scheduling regulatory PMs, and leading coordination meetings. + Able to fill in for the scheduler as needed to ensure seamless work planning and execution. Basic Qualifications + Associates degree + 3 years related work experience + In lieu of Associates degree and 3 years related work experience, High School/GED and 7 years related work experience Desired Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience. + Minimum three (3) years of related work experience in maintenance or operations planning within a relevant industry Additional Preferred Qualifications + Work with the Operations Coordinator (or designee) to identify work orders that may be critical in nature or affects reliability to ensure work orders are planned to support the anticipated schedule need. + Experience and demonstrated written and oral communications skills, including the ability to present information, facilitate meetings and provide direction to others + Experience and demonstrated computer skills including the proficient ability to use various applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects), work management system (Maximo, PASTA), Plant Information (PI) programs. + Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (Power BI, Maximo, PASTA) to track work plans, asset history, and job performance metrics. + Working knowledge of overall operating fundamentals and principles of generating station systems, equipment and processes. + Experience and demonstrated ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and manuals to support planning of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation & controls (I&C) maintenance work. + Demonstrated ability to work independently in a leadership capacity. + Demonstrate time management, planning and skills useful in managing a high volume of workflow. + Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality plans under tight deadlines. + Demonstrated ability and previous experience in understanding, interpreting, communicating and analyzing financial data. + At least five (5) years of plant operations/maintenance experience.
