Purpose: To schedule patients, maintain patient documents, greet patients, assist providers and patient services coordinators, as needed, and help cover breaks, lunches, and meetings.
Job Description: Greet and assist patients with initial paperwork, answer patient questions and ensure quality customer service, ensure compliance with procedures, send patient email reminders for upcoming appointments, update and maintain electronic health records, answer the clinic phone, collect payments, schedule and coordinate appointments for multiple providers (i.e. retrieving voicemails, tracking referrals, calling patients). Verify that insurance is accepted before scheduling, and inform the referring physician when insurance is not accepted. Check and organize clinic supply inventory, prepare clinic rooms before patient appointments, disinfect medical tools, waiting room, and restrooms, and assist faculty with maintaining a functioning clinic and professional atmosphere.
Qualifications: ATSU student in good academic standing, good people skills, friendly, and self-starter.
Skills: Basic computer knowledge, Microsoft Office (use of Excel is required), Google Drive
(Sheets/Docs), be able to multi-task (i.e., talk on the phone and review the schedule and patient record at the same time), have strong communication skills, ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks.
