Work Week Manager

A Work Week Manager role has become available within Projects, Services and Decommissioning at Westinghouse.

This role involves working with the Sites maintenance and engineering teams to ensure that planned preventative maintenance and improvement works are effectively scheduled and executed.  The successful applicant will support the provision of an effective & efficient work management process across all Services & Assets Teams.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

 

Develop the annual maintenance cycle (including shutdowns) and develop the maintenance schedule content in order to drive improvements that impact plant and equipment safety, reliability and product quality. Co-ordination of all planned and improvement work to meet deliverables for allocated work packages. Schedules work to ensure that all activities support safe and reliable operation of the plant and maintain full compliance with agreed safety and environmental standards and expectations. Placing orders for packages of work and day to day maintenance activities. Liaising with contractors/service engineers to ensure they are planned and booked on for their relevant task. Develops the plan for the allocated work package in accordance with the work management process. Chairs the relevant Work Management meetings and issues packages of work to engineering and operational supervisors. Works together with the maintenance supervisors who will deliver the plan to a high standard. Monitors schedule performance to assist in assessing prescribed metrics along with the supervisors. Incorporates lessons learned into future schedules and strive for continuous improvement.

 

Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

 

A knowledge of the Springfields Work Management Process or willingness to develop these skills/ A knowledge and understanding of the Sites maintenance and engineering practices or willingness to develop these skills. To be able to demonstrate experience and involvement in safely planning or executing work packages associated with engineering, maintenance and project work. Experience of Excel and planning software packages or willingness to develop these skills. Ability to use site IT Systems effectively. Background in engineering and/or maintenance with an understanding of engineering fundamentals. Ability to lead meetings. Able to build good relationships with other supervisors/departments, customers (both internal and external) and suppliers. Must be self-motivated, with very strong interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Desirable Skills:

 

An engineering qualification would be an advantage. Experience of using purchasing systems (SAP, ARIBA). Demonstrate a willingness for self-development and an enthusiasm for the role High personal standards and expectations in their approach to work. Enthusiastic and flexible in their approach to work. Ability to work in an operational plant. Assist in the training and development of new standards
