Workday Analyst - Security & Governance

The myWorkday Team is seeking a Workday Analyst to support the maintenance and enhancement of Great American’s Workday solutions. This team focuses on partnering with key stakeholders within Finance, Human Resources, IT Services, and business leadership to continually improve business processes to fully utilize Workday functionality and build additional technology onto the Workday foundation. This is a collaborative team that works across all functional areas of responsibility as needed. This role will provide you with an opportunity to learn a leading ERP System and support business process transformation.   

 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities 

Manage Workday-related audit processes and tools including Kainos  

Ensure effective communication with reviewers involved in audit processes  

Develop documentation necessary to validate effective audit processes  

Partner with internal auditors to walk through and communicate changes to audit processes 

Continually improve audit processes with a focus on efficiency and employee experience 

Workday security and general system configuration related to enhancements, defects, and newly released functionality could include report writing, business process configuration and tenant-wide settings  

Develop appropriate testing and change control documentation  

Project Management for cross functional Workday initiatives  

Actively pursue innovative initiatives and improvements in current Workday security processes 

Partner with the business to understand business needs, gather/document business requirements, assess Workday Security configuration feasibility and impact to other Workday configuration 

Act as security point of contact on projects and enhancements providing security role design guidance and best practices 

Provide ongoing ERP system support for day-to-day challenges that end-users may face 

Maintain and develop relationships throughout the business and Information Technology 

Develop Workday and business functional expertise, including engaging in Workday’s ecosystem’s information sharing platforms e.g., Community, networking sessions, Pro Certifications, etc. 

Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

Job Requirements: 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business analytics, HR, business technology or equivalent experience. 

Field of Study: Finance/Accounting, Analytics, Business Information Technology, or a related discipline 

Experience: 3+ years of related experience required; 2+ years of Workday Security or HRIS / ERP, Configuration, or related disciplines preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word & Excel)
