Job Description
Purpose & Scope:
The Workday Functional Architect – Inventory/Spend Management will play a critical role in supporting the Finance and Supply Chain Teams by focusing on the functional maintenance, reporting, and optimization of Workday’s inventory and procurement processes. This role involves collaborating with the Financial Data Team to implement system changes, enhance functionality, resolve performance issues, develop and distribute routine and ad-hoc reports, and review semi-annual Workday releases. Additionally, the position includes providing training and support to users across the organization.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
Master's in Business Administration, preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience in Materials Management, Finance, or Business Intelligence within a healthcare organization.
Minimum 1 year of experience with Workday, specifically in Procurement or Inventory.
Certification/Licensure:
Workday Pro Reporting Certification (Preferred)

Advanced Workday Expertise: Deep understanding of Workday’s Spend Management module, including advanced configurations, integrations, and customizations.Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for process improvements and decision-making.Project Management: Experience managing projects, including planning, execution, and stakeholder communication. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Workday reporting tools, data extraction, and manipulation. Experience with Workday Integration Cloud or other integration tools.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues and optimizing system performance.Business Acumen: Understanding of supply chain and finance processes and how they align with Workday functionalities. Ability to bridge gaps between business needs and technical solutions.Training and Mentoring: Experience in developing training materials and delivering training sessions. Ability to mentor and support less experienced team members.Change Management: Skills in managing and facilitating organizational change related to system upgrades and process improvements.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work, from system configuration to report generation.Collaboration and Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, including cross-functional teams, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and requirements.Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with Workday updates and industry best practices, including pursuing relevant certifications and attending professional development opportunities.
