As a Workday HRIS Security Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security, integrity, and efficiency of our Workday platform. You will work closely with HR, Finance, and IT teams to design, implement, and optimize security configurations and integrations, including experience in decentralized and global Workday environments. Additionally, you will serve as a technical point of contact for all Workday-related security issues and improvements, overseeing key security projects, managing security-related risks, and streamlining processes to improve system efficiency and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Workday Security Design and Optimization:Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT departments to define and design Workday security models and strategies.Develop, maintain, and optimize security groups, roles, and access policies for Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Learning, and Finance, with a strong focus on Workday Financials security.Implement and enhance security protocols, ensuring compliance with internal and external security standards.Regularly assess Workday releases and security patches for impacts on business processes and security configurations.Provide expertise in managing security configurations across a decentralized Workday environment and contribute to Workday’s global security setup.Security Management and Troubleshooting:Lead troubleshooting efforts related to Workday security issues, including domain security, integration security, and tenant/global configurations.Manage system authentication policies and strategies across all Workday tenants, ensuring consistent and secure access management across multiple regions and environments.Respond to escalations and provide tier-3 support for Workday-related security incidents and user issues.Project Leadership and Documentation:Lead technical projects focused on platform extendibility, security optimizations, and integration of third-party systems.Write detailed technical documentation to translate business and functional requirements into actionable configurations and integrations.Contribute to system testing, quality assurance, and post-implementation reviews for Workday security configurations.Training and Knowledge Sharing:Develop and deliver comprehensive training sessions on Workday security best practices to HR, IT, and Finance teams.Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday security, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members and stakeholders.Security Risk Management:Design and implement data integrity audits and risk management strategies to ensure continuous security compliance.Monitor and address security risks, ensuring that any vulnerabilities are proactively identified and mitigated.Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR Business Partners, Technical Teams, and Quality Assurance, to ensure alignment and smooth implementation of Workday security initiatives.Lead and participate in workshops to drive process optimizations and efficiency improvements, reducing operational costs and enhancing security posture. 7+ years of experience working directly with Workday security, including hands-on expertise in HCM, Payroll, Finance, Recruiting, and Learning modules.Proven track record of optimizing Workday security configurations and driving efficiency improvements in large-scale, decentralized Workday environments.Experience managing Workday security in global environments, with an understanding of multi-tenant and cross-regional security configurations.Strong experience with Workday Financials security and access management, including security protocols for financial data and transactions.In-depth experience with security configurations and automation of access management in cloud-based systems.Proven leadership experience in managing complex Workday security projects and cross-functional teams.Technical Skills:
Extensive knowledge of Workday Security Administration, including user role configuration, domain security, and access management.Proficiency in Workday tools such as EIBs, Report Writer, Tenant Management, Customer Central, and Workday Support Contact.Understanding of networking, access controls, and security principles for enterprise systems.Other Skills:
