The Opportunity This is a 12-week internship with start dates beginning in May 19 or June 2, 2025, depending on your availability. Nutanix offers both remote and hybrid internships where you would work from the San Jose, CA, office 2-3 days/week. About the Team
We are responsible for the technical development and support of Workday systems, managing integrations, Extend, Integration Reports, and APIs to support HR, Payroll, Benefits, IT, and other enterprise functions. Our work enhances automation, optimizes workflows, and ensures data integrity, enabling businesses to manage their processes efficiently. By improving system performance and data accuracy, we help users save time, reduce manual efforts, and enhance the employee self-service experience. Our expertise in handling vendor data transfers ensures seamless, accurate, and timely information flow. Your Role Research best practices and identify opportunities to improve self-service functionalities within Workday.Gain hands-on experience in Workday Extend UI development, integrations, troubleshooting, and testing.Collaborate with the team to develop solutions, optimize workflows, and enhance system automation.Explore Workday tools and contribute to user experience enhancements.Build technical expertise, strengthen problem-solving skills, and develop a deep understanding of Workday systems.Work in an environment that values learning, innovation, and real-world impact.Grow both technically and functionally while making a direct impact on employee experience. What You Will Bring You are pursuing a bachelor’s in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Business Information Systems or Management Information Systems.Technical Skills:JavaScript (for WD Studio and Workday Extend)XSLT, XML, JSON, CSV (for file processing)API integrations REST/SOAP (for EIB Integration)Basic SQL (for data queries) Knowledge of SaaS application (nice to have)Java (nice to have)Intellectual Curiosity – A natural eagerness to explore Workday functionalities and learn beyond assigned tasks.Resourcefulness – Ability to find solutions independently, whether through Workday Community, forums, or trial and error.Logical Thinking – Breaking down technical problems into manageable steps for easier resolution. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week. However, specific roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence.
