In addition to highly competitive salaries, we offer a bonus program, 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase program; comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits, including a robust wellness program; paid time off for vacation, holidays and sick days; and much more. **Expected salary range of $70,200 to $78,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).** **PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:** Protect the company’s financial assets by helping manage litigated workers’ compensation claims for Maryland and non-litigated workers’ compensation claims companywide for Constellation. Responsible for determining compensability of claims and submitting cases to third-party administrator. Participate in annual file reviews with outside counsel and claim adjusters. Occasional travel (approximately two days per month) may be required. **PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:** Ensure cases reach third-party administrator within a business day of receiving notification. Work with Principal Workers’ Compensation Specialist to determine compensability of claims. Ensure internal nurses receive timely updates from outside nurses and adjusters. Manage communication between internal nurses and claim administrator/outside nurses to minimize company exposure. Expedite diagnostic testing and specialist evaluations for employees with urgent conditions. Ensure that time is coded accurately for employees who are off work, working with the employee’s department, third-party administrator and/or payroll department as necessary. Coordinate supervisor or witness attendance at hearings or trials. Compile required information from internal departments for annual self-insurance runoff renewal applications and draft assessment reports for Principal Worker’s compensation Specialist review. Monitor claims data, including number of open claims, claims paid and reserves. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 5 years of relevant investigative, workers’ compensation or benefits experience, or 6+ years of relevant experience. + Basic knowledge of legal process. + Ability to learn and operate specialized case management systems. + Self-motivated and detail-oriented, able to handle moderate case load under pressure. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in a related field. + Prior employee or vendor management experience.
