Job Description
The Workers’ Compensation Coordinator will administer and manage all claims. The Coordinator is responsible for reviewing incident reports and claims daily, evaluating and analyzing claims data to ensure regulatory compliance, and serving as the liaison between claimants, claim adjusters, medical providers, and attorneys.
ResponsibilitiesProvide departments with relevant information to reduce workplace injuries and improve safetyFacilitate return-to-work of injured employees using reasonable accommodation programs and medical case managementEnsure managers are aware of accommodations/work restrictions and comply with restricted work dutiesWork closely with other departments to analyze trends and develop strategies for preventionPrepare risk management reportsEnter incidents into the database, report claims to Third-Party Administrator, and assist claims analysts with various issues and process Risk Management invoicesAssist with occupational safety, loss control, health compliance, OSHA and other Risk Management training, and maintain a filing system for all casesAct as the liaison to attorneys, insurance companies, and individuals (internal/external)Investigate any incidents that may result in an asset loss and adhere to department budgetAttend and/or assist with worker’s compensation hearingsAssess all incidents and claims issues and seek potential opportunities to resolve themEnsure compliance with OSHA-related occupational health reportsInteract extensively with various parties involved with the claim management processDocument and communicate all claim activity timely and effectivelyOther projects/tasks as assignedEssential SkillsWorkers' compensationWorkers compensation claimsHuman resourcesAdministrative supportLeave of Absence processingWorkers Compensation Claims and LOA processing experienceBilingual in SpanishAdditional Skills & Qualifications4-5 years of experience processing workers comp claims and LOAsManufacturing industry preferredWork Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
