Workforce Development Program Manager - Administrative Fellowship

Provides strategic consultation and program management around the Administrative Fellowship program. The Fellowship Program Manager directs and oversees administrative activities associated with the Advocate Health administrative fellowship program. The Advocate Health Administrative Fellowship is a one-year, post-graduate, project-based program that selects fellows each year and is designed to provide the fellow with broad knowledge of healthcare operations and strategic planning. Under the guidance of their preceptor, fellows gain substantial experience and exposure to diverse divisions, departments and cross-functional teams throughout the organization. Fellows will be supported by a network of leaders and former fellows and encouraged to pursue their interests in operations, strategy, finance, quality, human resources, business development and/or other areas of health care.

PROGRAM HISTORY

Collectively, Advocate Health and its care delivery brands, Atrium Health, Atrium Wake Forest Baptist, Aurora Health Care and Advocate Health Care, have participated in offering administrative fellowships for over 40 years. The Advocate Health Administrative Fellowship is focused on health system operations. Anchored with executive leadership and exposure to large-scale regional operations, the program provides a robust experience of challenging work in critical areas across Advocate Health that will support growth and development of the fellows as they begin a career in healthcare leadership and administration.

Provides strategic consultation and program management around the Administrative Fellowship program. The Fellowship Program Manager directs and oversees administrative activities associated with the Advocate Health administrative fellowship program.

Unique Responsibilities:

Responsible for a wide range of administrative responsibilities including but not limited to recruitment, compliance, onboarding, offboarding, budget, event planning and schedulingConsults and collaborates with the executive sponsors and other key stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure program activities and projects are anchored in the organization's strategic priorities and impact the continuum of health and care.    Manage the fellowship schedule development, ensuring consistency with specifications for each fellow and considerations for funtional area rotations in partnership with regional stakeholders.Organize programmatic elements related to mentorship, leadership workshops, executive panels, and other fellowship learning experiences.Contribute to the design of initiatives that foster the growth of administrative fellows in key areas, including, but not limited to analytical skills, leadership, finance, executive presence, effective communication, and healthcare operations.Coordinate yearly fellowship recruitment activities including but not limited to conference attendance, advertising, management of external website, and interview schedule in partnership iwith talent acquisition and other regional stakeholers.Implement, monitor, and assess the Administrative Fellowship program with quality and fidelity, maintaining program integrity as well as providing recommendations for improvement.Collaborate with the Leadership Development and Leadership Talent Acquisition functions on programmatic activities and recruitment.Drive program autonomously ensuring timely deliverables to executive sponsors and other key stakeholders.Effectively communicate to executive leadership, sponsors, regional stakeholders, and fellows on pertinant programmatic information, events, and updates.Annually develop the program calendar, including dates, locations, facilitators, and times in partnership with regional stakeholders and executive sponsors.Plan and prepare the annual program evaluation upcoming fellowship activities including the scheduling, material distribution, reporting and tracking of action items from work group meetings as well as Admin Fellow Advisory Council meetings.

Education/Experience Required:

Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Education or related field (Master’s Preferred) Experience Required: 5-7 years’ experience in workforce development, training and development, leadership, organizational development, HR consultation or related field

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Knowledge of best practice workforce development solutions, research and strategies applied in large organizations.Effective group facilitation and internal consulting skills.Skills in research, developing sound proposals, and demonstrated ability in the successful implementation of programs.Skills in influencing and developing others who are not direct reports in order to move toward common goals and outcomes.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact with executives, management, physicians, team members at all levels and community job seekers.Abililty to work effectively in a diverse work group and with a wide range of audiences consisting of different generations, cultures, and learning styles.High level of proficiency and literacy in using the Microsoft Office Suite, similar products and other technology solutions.Ability to navigate and establish priorities in an often ambiguous environment.Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required: N/A
