Candidates interested in hybrid work are encouraged to apply. **Purpose:** This position is responsible for the overall design, delivery, and implementation of a near and long-term global learning and development strategy at Astellas in support of both organizational and individual employee goals. Includes assessing, developing, and delivering all professional development programs for associates, people managers, senior leaders, and executive leaders globally. This position ensures that employees receive timely, engaging, and effective training that is relevant to their job and successfully supports their future development. + Oversees the design, delivery, and improvement of high impact learning solutions, including both professional development for the general population and high potential development at key transition points in their careers (e.g., individual contributor to senior executive leaders). + Drives the Astellas global learning approach and strategy to enable success of overall business strategy and any local strategies to respond to external trends, competitive pressures, internal needs, and business imperatives. + Defines, develops, and implements learning frameworks and solutions for each level of the organization to grow individual capabilities. + Evaluates impact of learning programs to demonstrate value to senior leadership and business areas. + Develops sound and effective learning solutions in the areas of coaching, feedback, new employee orientation, manager development, mentoring, and other moments that matter. + Implements L&D approach that leverages the latest learning technologies, innovative approaches, and best practices. + Identifies the most effective mediums for delivering training materials (e.g., in-person classroom, virtual live, on-demand, interactive multimedia, video, etc.) to each population. + Manages ongoing maintenance/ continuous improvements of the programs to ensure materials are current. + Works with stakeholders and external partners/ vendors to ensure that the Astellas content, platform, and services are relevant, innovative, and successfully deliver training. + Interacts with a variety of global and regional key stakeholders across the entire business and all of HR to define organization’s learning objectives and to identify knowledge/ skill gaps. **Essential Job Responsibilities:** + Recommends decision-making criteria and drives execution of established business strategy and direction aligned with enterprise objectives. + Decisions are of moderate to high complexity and have an extensive and direct impact on overall success of area managed. + Facilitates desired organizational culture and environment to foster innovation and growth. + Influences key internal stakeholders at the division level. + Communicates and engages others within area managed to achieve objectives and align with interdependent areas. + Drives decisions and consensus by influencing colleagues and leaders. _Area of Accountability: Professional_ + Senior thought leader that typically delivers key outcomes for core/ critical projects/ products or processes for a, department, or plant in the enterprise. + Accountable for multiple complex and critical projects for the area managed. + Outcomes are achieved by individual or through project teams, utilizing subject matter expertise; may lead cross-functional projects. + Recommends solutions for complex problems based on in-depth interpretation and analysis of issues to develop alternatives and update practices and policies for area or team managed. + Responsible for knowledge management and capability development for area. + May lead cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence/ quality in the design, execution, and completion of studies/ projects. + May directly supervise people and/ or manage contractors supporting project(s) or process(es). _Job Family: Human Resources_ Accountable for leading and managing key HR activities and outcomes for area supported (typically a department, affiliate, or area within HR). Includes planning, development, design, implementation, and ongoing management to enable the business to deliver on its goals. Acts as expert on all Astellas matters for responsible HR area. _Accountabilities may include:_ + Monitor and evaluate all programs to ensure that they are operating effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations. + Provide leadership and direction in managing daily operations, ensuring consistent processes and controls are in place. + Analyze market data and trends, participate in market surveys, research issues, and develop key reports and information to guide design decision-making. + Develop, design, or modify programs to ensure that they support the strategy. + Assess and make recommendations in area of expertise. + Drive annual processes and ensure connection across HRBPs and other business areas. + Serve as point of contact for technical matters within assigned business area. + Manage risk; ensure decisions comply with regulatory works councils/ unions. **Qualifications Required:** + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). + 8+ years of demonstrated experience in talent development, learning, or organizational development roles. + Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and digital learning tools. + Expertise in instructional design, adult learning principles, and L&D technologies. + Strong understanding of various learning methodologies and adult learning principles. + Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. + Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate and influencing effectively across all levels of an organization. + Coaching and talent assessment certifications (e.g., CliftonStrengths, MBTI, Hogan, DiSC, etc.) + Strong analytical skills and experience in data-driven decision-making. + Experience managing budgets and resources effectively. **Salary:** $189,800 - $253,000 (NOTE: Final salary could be more or less, commensurate with experience) **Benefits:** + Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance + Generous Paid Time Off options, including Vacation and Sick time, plus national holidays including year-end shut down + 401(k) match and annual company contribution + Company paid life insurance + Annual Corporate Bonus and Quarterly Sales Incentive for eligible positions + Long Term Incentive Plan for eligible positions + Referral bonus program \#LI-DM Category People Enablement Astellas is committed to equality of opportunity in all aspects of employment.
