What you'll do


As a working student you will be part of a scrum team that applies Agile Software Engineering methodologies. You will closely work together with other developers in the team and have the chance to gain insights into application development at SAP.

 

You will…

 

Work in a diverse and passionate team of software developers and experts.  Support and contribute to the different phases of the product development life cycle (design, develop, test, deliver). Help to enhance our test automation suite built for the heart of our products by designing and writing unit- and component-test code in ABAP.

 

Depending on your skills and interests you will also have the chance to contribute to additional development tasks in the context of our product.

We will ensure that you can build up the necessary skills and learn continuously on the job. Over time you will be able to gain T-shaped knowledge of how to develop cloud-based applications.


What you bring

 

Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences Preferred fields of study: Computer science/engineering, informatics, natural sciences, software engineering, economics or related fields.  Computer skills: Advanced knowledge of an object-oriented programming language such as Java. Language skills:  Ability to proficiently communicate in English, advanced German skills Soft skills:  Teamwork and good communication skills. Others: Curiosity in learning new technologies and taking up new challenges. Interest in business applications. First experience in agile software engineering is a plus.

We are part of the S/4HANA Public Cloud development organization. 
Our team is international and multi-cultural. We have fun learning from each other. We enjoy the challenge to find easy solutions for complex business and technical challenges.
Working hours are flexible. Partially working remotely is possible. On-campus onboarding at the beginning plus a certain number of days onsite in our offices at Walldorf is expected.


Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
