Who will you be joining?
Group Accounting & Reporting (GAR) provides reliable, qualitative financial information to management, investors, analysts and the public in general through external reporting of Allianz SE and Allianz Group in the form of Quarterly and Annual Reports. GAR collects and consolidates the accounts submitted by all Group companies. Members of GAR ensure the adherence to the highest quality standards in accounting and financial reporting to support Allianz' s reputation as a top-tier global financial institution.
This position is an ideal opportunity for students interested in perusing a career in accounting and learning more about the insurance industry. As part of our team, you will assist us in coordinating the planning and production of the half-year/annual report of Allianz Group, including the preparation of the Group Financial Statements. In addition, you will have the opportunity to apply your accounting knowledge and analyse balance sheets, consolidate figures, and report our financial data.
How can you make an impact?
Assist in the preparation of reports and quality assurance for internal reporting purposes Analyse the numbers of our international subsidiaries as part of the team Optimize and automate existing analysis tools Prepare consolidated financial statements for Allianz Group in accordance with IFRS and consolidate market value accounts according to Solvency II
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Business administration/Economics with a focus on international accounting Proficient in the use of Excel - able to maintain spreadsheets and run analyses Capable to easily communicate in English and German Previous familiarity with Solvency II and SAP is a strongly preferred We can only consider your application if you provide the following documents:
Certificate of enrollment (exception gap year)
Valid Work and residence permit (for non-EU citizens). Please check before applying if you can work with your current VISA
Previous experience in business related functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital/ Tech etc.) is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Previous internship experience in Accounting or Reporting would be ideal Initial knowledge of international accounting (IFRS) Able to convey complex issues clearly and succinctly both orally and in writing Genuine interest in accounting and the insurance industry Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as results-oriented attitude
