Who will you be joining?
We, Allianz SE Reinsurance office in Munich/Schwabing, are looking for a Working Student or Intern to support the Data Office team. You will be able to take over an active part in the realization of the global data strategy of Allianz Re. We offer a highly interesting, engaging and varied cross-functional and international work environment where you will dive into many aspects of (re-)insurance and explore data and advanced analytics capabilities. How can you make an impact?
You will be responsible for collecting reinsurance exposure data and large loss data from Allianz entities worldwide to meet various reporting requirements, including portfolio analysis, credit risk assessment, and statutory reporting You will provide operational support for our data collection, validation, storage, and our reporting applications You will respond to user requests and assist us in adapting our applications to meet new requirements You will also be querying our databases and visualize data to support analysis and decision-making
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications
Student in Information Technology or (financial) Mathematics/Statistics or similar First programming experience (e.g. SQL/Python) Ideally knowledge in database/data applications and reporting solutions Expertise in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) Fluent in written and spoken English Interest in working in the insurance/reinsurance business Requirement for internship and working student positions is the enrollment in a university – or (for an internship) a gap year We can only consider your application if you provide the following documents:
Certificate of enrollment (exception gap year)
Valid Work and residence permit (for non-EU citizens). Please check before applying if you can work with your current VISA
Previous experience in business related functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital/ Tech etc.) is a plus

Ability to work well independently as well as in a team You enjoy working in an international environment Enthusiasm, commitment and positive attitude You should be able to attend our weekly team office day onsite in Munich on Wednesdays. On the other days home office is possible 20 hours per week as working student or 38 hours per week as intern, We offer flexibility as to the university schedule during working hours Candidates should ideally be available for a longer period of time e.g. minimum 9 months which will allow more interesting tasks
