Working Student - Product Analytics and Operations
WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a member of the Product Management team, you will play a critical role in data-driven decision-making processes and operational tasks, helping to shape and optimize our product portfolio through the use of analytics and data insights. Key responsibilities include:

Assist in streamlining operational processes for a portfolio of products using data-driven insights to optimize product strategies and recommend feature prioritizations based on key performance metrics.

Define and track success metrics (OKRs/KPIs) and analyze product data to monitor the performance and identify areas for improvement.

Lead the creation and updating of product dashboards that integrate key data analytics to inform and drive strategic decisions across the product lifecycle.

Translate large-scale data initiatives into smaller actionable items by breaking down data requirements and supporting their integration into product strategies.

Perform market assessments, user interviews, and A/B testing to gather and analyze data, delivering actionable insights that inform product improvements and strategic roadmaps.

Map out data personas and consumer profiles, leveraging data to ensure customer needs are met and incorporated into product development.

Serve as a champion of data literacy within the organization, promoting data-driven decision-making and fostering adoption of analytics tools and methodologies.

Monitor usage and behavior data across products to proactively identify opportunities for optimization and growth.

Drive internal operational improvement projects, leveraging data analytics to ensure efficiency and strategic alignment in product and process transformation.

Contribute to product lifecycle documentation, monitoring, and updates, incorporating analytics and key insights to continuously improve the development process.

You can work up to 20 hours/week during your semesters and up to 40 hours/week during your vacation time. The role offers enough flexibility to combine personal, academic and professional life. This is a temporary role from min. 12 to max. 24 months. You need to be an enrolled university student in Germany.


YOU'RE GOOD AT

Problem solving, analytical skills, and decision making—You excel in independently resolving issues by utilizing data analysis and critical thinking, always keeping the big picture in mind. You’re skilled at defining key metrics to track product success and making data-informed arguments to influence stakeholders.

Data analytics and technical tools—You have a strong understanding of data tools, including Excel and Tableau, and are capable of building and maintaining complex product dashboards and reports. You translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for product teams.

Teaming with people across the organization—You build strong cross-functional relationships, communicating data-driven insights effectively across technical and non-technical teams. You help others in the organization understand and use data effectively.

Data-driven prioritization and multitasking—You balance multiple deliverables while using data to make informed prioritization decisions. You have excellent attention to detail, and you ensure that data insights are incorporated into the product backlog and development pipeline.

Advocating for data literacy and usage—You promote a culture of data-driven decision-making across the team and broader organization. You’re proactive in identifying opportunities to use data to drive efficiency and product improvement.


YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

Strong data analytics background—Proven experience in working with data, defining key metrics, and leveraging data analytics tools such as Excel and Tableau to make strategic product decisions.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills—You can clearly present data-driven insights and complex information to stakeholders, including both technical and non-technical audiences.

Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams—You effectively use data to synthesize complex information and guide decision-making, even without formal authority.

Experience with A/B testing, user interviews, and market assessments—You can perform and interpret data from various user research methods to inform product decisions.

Global experience preferred—You bring a global perspective and are comfortable working in diverse, cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving data adoption across regions.
