Workplace Experience Specialist
What You’ll Do The Workplace Experience Specialist will play a key role in ensuring that our Brighton office provides a positive, efficient, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role involves managing day-to-day operations, facilities, and office services while also creating initiatives to boost employee engagement and maintain a vibrant workplace culture. You will report into the Workplace Manager EMEA and work from our Central Brighton office. What Your Responsibilities Will Be You will ensuring the office environment and resources are conducive to employee productivity and well-being and reflect Avalara culture You will provide a welcoming and inviting front-desk reception experience You will monitor implement office standards that enhance efficiencies You will maintain the office space ensuring it is in functional condition and up to Avalara standards Purchase office supplies and equipment maintaining inventory and distribution throughout the office Work with and assist micro-market vendors to ensure fresh and quality offerings while maintaining top-notch service Support the planning and execution of in-office meetings and events Receive and sort incoming mail and deliveries, and manage outgoing mail working with vendors and internal leaders to provide the most efficient and effective process Manage purchase order process and submit accurate expense reports Work on special projects as assigned providing status updates and staying within the allocated budget and timeline Coordinate with the Internal Communications Team regarding office-specific communications while also maintaining clear information on our intranet What You'll Need to be Successful 2+ years of office/reception work experience Knowledge or ideas on how to improve employee engagement Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems, and procedures Strong sense of ownership to successfully operate in a very fast-paced, high-tech environment, always thinking one step ahead Expeditious, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customer needs Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to problem solve by offering creative solutions Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks Experience with various software application (e.g. Microsft Office, Good Worksuite, Canva) #LI-LS1 #LI-ONSITE How We'll Take Care of You Total Rewards In addition to a great compensation package, paid time off, and paid parental leave, many Avalara employees are eligible for bonuses.
