Role objectives and responsibilities

 

The purpose of this role is to support the Compliance Manager to deliver their duties to provide operational

management across the diverse Midlands portfolio of properties on the Department for Transport (DfT) facilities

management contract. The workplace manager is responsible for managing all mobile engineering resource to affected

properties within the defined geographical area ensuring compliance with service delivery obligations and supporting

the Compliance Manager in management of the P&L, SLA's and KPI performance measurement.

 

Candidates will be required to meet security checks (BPSS & NPPV Level 2) to work on the client premises.

 

 

Main duties

 

Key Responsibilities

 

· Support the Compliance Manager in managing the service delivery throughout their geographical area in line

with contract obligations and service standards.

· Manage the mobile engineering team and ensure appropriate levels of resources are deployed with succession

and development plans in place.

· Be first point of contact for the engineering team assisting queries and offering support.

· Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with all statutory requirements and corporate policies

including, but not limited to, Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, Environment & Sustainability and

Employment Legislation.

· Carry out site audits to ensure logbooks and work is compliant & recorded accurately.

· Liaise with the Central Teams re outstanding works.

· Have specific knowledge in both Mechanical and Electrical building services which are considered

normal for a building office location.

· Have acquired elements of other skills which will enable them to work flexibly across trades and also

support handyman type activities.

· Will operate as part of an effective Professional Maintenance team. The post holder will be driven,

have enthusiasm, be self-motivated and be expected to work on their own initiative.

· Proactive during peak workloads- Backfill and cover AL.

· Help maintain accurate maintenance records and plant history.

· TBTs and team meetings.

 

 

 

Person Specification Essential · Substantial and proven experience in multi-site services hard service delivery. · BS 7671-18th edition. · City & Guilds, NVQ qualifications Mechanical/Electrical. · Previous experience with M&E background. · Be confident at work and understand the requirements of working safely within a team environment · Experience managing remote engineering teams · Awareness of best practice commercial and financial principles and P&L management · Understanding of business critical / technical environments. · IT literate in CAFM Information Management Systems · Experience in successfully working in a pressured and stressful environment. · Good working knowledge of H&S related to TFM services. · Relevant industry experience in an operational management: 3 years+ · Full UK Driving licence and ability to travel Desirable · Electrical Testing and Inspection C&G 2391 · Approved persons. Electrical /Mechanical.
