Job summary
The Associate Director Regional Lead-Workplace Services (Facilities Management) will oversee the strategic and operational management of facilities services for the IT services organization within the Region. This leadership role involves driving efficient operations for all facilities-related functions workplace needs to ensure a seamless productive and secure working environment for employees.
Responsibilities
The Regional Lead will manage multiple facilities in the region ensuring that all aspects of the workplace - from building management to technology infrastructure - are optimally aligned with business objectives and employee needs.
Develop and execute the regional strategy for facilities management that aligns with the department and companys goals.
Lead the facilities management team to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services across all locations with in the region.
Act as the primary liaison between senior leadership facilities teams and internal stakeholders for all facilities-related matters.
Define and implement regional policies and procedures to ensure the best practices in facilities and workplace service management.
Oversee all facilities management operations including maintenance cleaning office environment and safety protocols.
Manage vendor relationships for facilities-related services (e.g. cleaning catering maintenance) and ensure that SLAs and performance standards are consistently met.
Lead office relocation expansion and redesign initiatives in accordance with business needs.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental sustainability practices across all facilities.
Integrate Workplace Technologies and facilities functions to create a unified technology-driven workplace experience (e.g. integrating IoT for smart buildings efficient energy management workplace automation).
Lead initiatives for digital workplace transformations such as implementing smart cleaning solutions Building management systems and employee engagement platforms.
Develop manage and optimize the regional facilities management budget to ensure cost-effective and efficient service delivery.
Identify opportunities for cost savings process improvements and increased operational efficiency.
Forecast and manage capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operational expenditures (OPEX) related to facilities operations.
Lead a team of facilities management professionals providing direction mentorship and performance management.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement innovation and collaboration within the workplace services team.
Identify skill gaps create training programs and ensure the team stays current with best practices and emerging trends in facilities management.
Conduct regular performance reviews and establish KPIs to track team and service performance.
Ensure that the facilities and workplace services are designed to enhance employee productivity engagement and well-being.
Establish regular feedback mechanisms (e.g. surveys focus groups) to gauge employee satisfaction with workplace services and address issues promptly.
Oversee the implementation and management of safety protocols emergency preparedness plans and disaster recovery for facilities.
Ensure all facilities are compliant with local regulations building codes environmental laws and company policies.
Manage crisis response and mitigation in case of building-related incidents or disasters (e.g. fire flooding power outages).
Provide regular reports to senior leadership on facilities performance service delivery metrics budget status and ongoing initiatives.
Use data analytics to assess the effectiveness of facilities services and recommend improvements based on usage patterns and employee feedback.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Excellent problem-solving decision-making and crisis management abilities.
Ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and vendor contracts.
Customer-focused with a high degree of emotional intelligence to navigate various employee needs and concerns.
Education: Bachelors degree in Facilities Management Business Administration Engineering or a related field. A Masters degree or professional certifications (e.g. IFMA) is a plus.10+ years of experience in facilities management with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role ideally within the IT or corporate services sector.
Knowledge of sustainability initiatives and certifications like ISO 45001/ 14001
